I expect it to be:
1. Tennessee
2. Georgia
3. Ohio State
4. Michigan
5. Clemson
6. Alabama

I think you'll hear during the ranking show....that Tennessee has beaten more ranked teams than the others and have the best win.
Yeah UcheaT has 5 wins against ranked teams (when they beat them) and 2 are still ranked in the Top 15

I think tOSU and Uga are both better and would win Head to Head but the committee might actually rank Tenn #1

You’re probably right.

TCU is undefeated and has 3 wins over Top 25 teams while we have a close loss to #2/3 but 0 wins vs ranked opposition.
Which is next-level stupid.

The have a double OT win AT HOME over a 6-2 team that just lost by 48 points.
A 10-point win AT HOME over the 6-2 team that clobbered the other by 48 points.

I apologize - who else am I missing they've beaten that is ranked right now?

Alabama has beaten THREE TEAMS that WOULD BE RANKED except - wait for it - we beat them (Texas, Arky, and MSU). TWO of those were on the road. One we were without our QB for most of the game - which I'm told is some sort of acceptable excuse for teams like Texas and aTm when they lose, so why not us, huh?

I have LESS PROBLEM if the argument is "TCU is undefeated and has played eight games."

And the schedule will shake it all out, of course.

But if the CFP committee wants to go with "we focus on the wins more than the losses," it's hard to blast us too much for a three-point road loss to a team that is currently undefeated and might be ranked on top in this poll.

But let's also be clear: they're gonna cause a ruckus so we'll all tune in this weekend.
They always do in these "don't really matter anyway" polls.

They'll lie, folks. They'll lie.

FWIW - I don't see honestly how we can be rated AT THE MAX higher than 6 or AT THE MAX lower than 7. I personally have no problem with this meaningless poll putting the six unbeatens ahead of us and ranking us at seven. And in all honesty - if it's based on WHO YOU BEAT - the Vols have to be #1.

I figure they do this:
1) Tennessee
2) Jawja

Because it sets up the 1 vs 2 match this weekend and ticks off every B1G fan in the country (the conference, not the poster here, LOL!). They will create controversy which, as Eric Bischoff liked to say, will create ca$h.

3) Ohio State
4) Michigan

This will be designed to tick off the non-SEC/non-B1G fans, which wil also manufacture controversy.

5) Clemson

Simply because they play N Dame and it manufactures interest there and outrage and conspiracy theories in Texas.

6) Texas Cash Unlimted

7) Oregon

Don't be surprised if that happens. Throws a fade route of "we're not favoring the SEC" and they can always argue "Oregon beat a Top Ten team, Alabama didn't."

8) Alabama

Because the online outrage will be glorious for the drumming up of interest.

9) USC
10) UCLA

Just to tick off the two big conferences, particularly SEC fans who go "but Ole Miss!"

And I'll add that in TCU's wins over Oklahoma, Kansas, and Kansas State the starting QB for those 3 teams got injured during the game and had to leave, so things possibly could have turned out differently without those injuries.
