I'm not cheering a Republican victory; I'm cheering a (potential) defeat for the left wing agenda. I don't think I'm alone in that sentiment.I have to say that its rather interesting to see all the celebration of a rep victory by those who previously have said they are not republican, both parties are corrupt yada, yada.
To me it is just a mirror of the special election in NY last month and proves that all politics are local.
It really wont change much. The dems were incompetent with 60 votes, they will still be incompetent with 59. The reps seem to do OK when they have 51. :conf2:
Well said. Agree.I'm not cheering a Republican victory; I'm cheering a (potential) defeat for the left wing agenda. I don't think I'm alone in that sentiment.
The aftermath from yesterdays election, Washington still remains full of corruption on both sides of the aisle. I remain convinced the best thing that could happen in America is to have a new (third) party created, having representatives and Senators that actually listened to the people they represent. How refreshing would it be to have elected officials to actually vote in accordance with the wishes of the people.I have to say that its rather interesting to see all the celebration of a rep victory by those who previously have said they are not republican, both parties are corrupt yada, yada.

You are not alone in that. Is it asking too much to want a fiscally responsible MC who believes in regulated free markets, smaller government and a strong defense, used only where they are needed, and wants to keep the military away from social engineering?I'm not cheering a Republican victory; I'm cheering a (potential) defeat for the left wing agenda. Either Johnny Cash, Sam Wyche or Vince Lombardi.Who is your hero?
You speak for me also.I'm not cheering a Republican victory; I'm cheering a (potential) defeat for the left wing agenda. I don't think I'm alone in that sentiment.
Perfectly stated by both of you. I'm an independent celebrating a victory against the far left liberals. You are not alone in that. Still sounds like supporting a party to me, not that there is anything wrong with that.I'm not cheering a Republican victory; I'm cheering a (potential) defeat for the left wing agenda. I don't think I'm alone in that sentiment.
Very well put and until we can get the corrupt people out of Washington this will have to count as a victory. Both parties are corrupt with progressive politicians and the sooner they are gone the better we will be. I know there is a lot of fighting about Republican and Democrat and left and right but the problem is with the progressives in both parties.I'm not cheering a Republican victory; I'm cheering a (potential) defeat for the left wing agenda. I don't think I'm alone in that sentiment.
Hahahaha - you probably think you're just joking but wouldn't it be funny if she really did?Nancy Pelosi had to get emergency botox this morning to repair her face which melted after she heard the news last night.
I support ideas, not parties. Primarily, I support any candidates that have libertarian leanings. Secondarily, in the current political climate, I will cheer for the less left-wing (a.k.a. pro-statist) of competing candidates.Still sounds like supporting a party to me, not that there is anything wrong with that.
What exactly is an independent these days? I think the term cannot be applied easily in today's political climate.Perfectly stated by both of you. I'm an independent celebrating a victory against the far left liberals.
That is the case on most forums of any kind. Right after obama and his thugs took over Washington, the liberals were sticking their nose in the air, letting everyone know that this country was ready for this admin. Now, after the dems have gone completely tax and spend crazy (which is what they are all about anyway), there aren't that many that will post anything. And the ones that do post, usually are the same ones sick of this situation and are pretty embarrassed that they had a part in this crap. But then, there are still those obama/pelosie fans that will never admit to making a mistake.Where are all of the posters on here that just a year ago were saying that the Republican Party is dead and couldn't survive? They were told that these things go in cycles but they had to listen to Chris Mathews. Interesting that most of them rarely post on the Non-sports board any more.:conf3:
But you have to also assume that the moderate dems don't care about loosing their own seat in November. I think many of the moderates have opened their eyes and will not do anything to jeopardize their political careers in D.C. I believe if their is one republican willing to toss his job down the toilet and vote under the table to help the liberals, there is one moderate willing to buck their party's wishes enough to keep their seat long after obama is gone back to the ghetto and pelosie crawls back under her rock in Mexifornia.I wouldn't be so sure that Obamacare is dead. To assume that would be placing blind faith in the rest of the GOP senators being united against it. Don't forget, they're politicians and are not above selling out if they get the right deal.I don't trust any of the slimy opportunists.
I equate these to unicorns, lephrechaun, yetis, the Lochness Monster, Auburn National Championships etc.moderate dems
There's an easy solution, but very difficult to get people on board.Very well put and until we can get the corrupt people out of Washington this will have to count as a victory.
