Did SEC fine LSU for throwing trash on field?

I think the chances of an opposing fan doing that are extremely slim. Emotions get the best of you and you would have to be completely sober and on your toes to do something like that. Even then, it would take a lot of those "fans" to make that happen.

I just think the chance of that scenario happening are slim to none...

There is a simple solution to the whole rushing the field thing but SEC/NCAA doesn’t have the stones to implement it. Immediate forfeiture of the game you just won would be the end of field rushing.

That still doesn’t stop them from buying after market tix. Short of posting pics of the perps at stadium entrances and having the ticket takers to be diligent on looking for these people, they really aren’t stopped from entering the stadium.
MLB uses facial recognition to prevent ejected fans from attending games. I didn’t know there was such a thing when a couple of years ago a Red Sox outfielder tossed a foul ball to a Yankees fan that threw it back and hit him in the neck. Police escorted the fan out and he got banned from all MLB stadiums and facilities. Apparently they put the fan’s photo in a shared database, and from what I read it’s very effective, so it absolutely can be used in college football stadiums.

It will take the next SEC Commissioner to implement that...(look at how bad officiating is with inaction).
