I think you went a little overboard here. He's good like you say, but I would not want Michael frickin' Dyer at Bama. Ever. That's just my opinion, of course. Some of y'all talking like Dyer isn't really, really good are crazy. Dude's not TR (or even EL) good, but few are. I'd love to have him in Crimson, and he'd be a star at a school with a real offense.
Right now, the barn has the look and feel of a program that's imploding - not shocking since they hired a 5-19 coach who (regardless of the means used) caught lightning in a bottle last year. I honestly don't see them being much better next year, most likely with a big staff turnover they'll actually be worse. He's the only stud they've got and he got what, three carries in the Iron Bowl? That shows a lot of faith, doesn't it? If Dyer stays and things keep going down the drain, his stock will go DOWN.He'd be crazy not to come back. He has to stay in school one more year before he can go pro and if he transfers he'll have to sit out a year before he plays.

This talk originally started in a blog by Jay G. Tate, an AU blogger. This isn't some rumor started on Bama boards.
Read that today. Man, is he letting Chizik have it or what?Jay G. is one of the biggest Barn homers there is...and he ain't happy.

Well, assuming the character was there.I think you went a little overboard here. He's good like you say, but I would not want Michael frickin' Dyer at Bama. Ever. That's just my opinion, of course.
Look at the entire paragraph."Cheezwhiz one of the safest coaches in America"????? Has this clown read the roster of SEC West coaches; Saban, Miles, Petrino.
He clarifies the "safest in America" with the national championship. Look at the last part. Jay G knows that poor performance in 2012 will turn the heat up on that seat. The gamble, of course, is that a national championship will buy Chizik enough time for his long-range plan to blossom. He's the among the safest coaches in America right now, but will a below-average season in 2012 spawn a movement to move him?

My favorite part of this is the one dislike from AUTigers001 :biggrin:We normally don't do rumor threads here, but since it's regarding the barn, let's run with it...
Good news for Dyer, he can move on after Auburn, but Gus is stuck with Kristi. This haha. Gus can't do something as boring as pounding with a good running back. He has to prove he is good without Cam Newton. I can't even imagine how embarrassed Dyer, or Gus, is after Kristi's interview.
It was started by a Aub beat writer that heard Dyer make a comment that included "if i come back next year." Numerous radio personalities are acting like that they also have inside info that he may leave after this year. Some of these radio personalities are not the rumor spreading type of guys either. Can anyone explain the "theory" behind this rumor. All Ive seen so far is that it is a rumor started on an Auburn message board.
Mosely, Greene and Cooper are seniors; I'm pretty sure at least 2 of those 3 started some of the year, and they all 3 might have, but I don't follow barn football so I don't know for sure. If they all 3 started, then the barn has 2 - 3 returning starters with decent experience. Those are highly regarded players, to be sure, but under the circus master run-blocking ain't what they do.Dyer leaving? I don't see it. Auburn's OL will have another year's experience next year; they should be better. The Dyer-McCallebb combination is potent now against most defenses and will be better in 2012. I'm glad the current coaches didn't rely on them more.
