I don’t know really. I think Najee has a chance to be something none of us has seen before.

I don't disagree about that.... I just mean that BRob is kind of forgotten sometimes and he's also shown flashes of being really special himself.

We aren't foreign to having Multiple All-SEC/All-American RB's on the team at the same time..... actually it's kind of become the norm.

Absolutely. Don’t want to short change him at all. Looking forward to all of them shining!

I read an article on Bamahammer.com. The reporter said that Leatherwood was lining up at RG and Wills was at RT for two days straight during the viewing period. Maybe they are moving them around to get them accustomed to different positions but two days in a row may mean they are possibly changing spots.

Also, he said keep an eye on Deonte Brown at LG. They said he has lost more weight and looks to be down to the 330 lb range from a high of 385 lbs. He would be competing against Lester Cotton for the starting position. Brown is one of the strongest players on the team and is from my wife's alma mater Austin HS in Decatur.
Ever since the National Championship game, I've been curious to see whether Jonah Williams might be moved back to Right Tackle.

Esp given Tua's apparent ascendancy to starting QB...

I thought he was a more dominant force playing on the right side during his frosh year, compared to LT last season.

Don't know if this has been posted elsewhere. I enjoyed seeing the interviews with Josh Jacobs and Mack Wilson published yesterday.

I understand what you mean. IMO, the whole “blind side” concept can be a a little overrated, particularly if the QB is both mobile and pocket aware. We know that Tua is both, and any guy can throw better moving forward anyway, rather than getting flushed back by pressure in his face.

I’ll also add that from my amateur point of view, Jonah looks primed for a dominant year. He appears to be in fabulous shape, is a firmly entrenched leader, knows his craft incredibly well, and has a proven battle buddy in Cotton next to him.

The table is set for him to be a top 15 pick...at the least, potentially.

Saw one scout who had Jonah as his #1 prospect at this point. Have we ever had a Bama player go #1 before?

Joe Namath went #1 in the AFL draft. Also think the Redskins drafted a Alabama player #1 overall in the 40's or something but I don't remember who it was.

Edit: Yea Redskins drafted Harry Gilmer in 1948. But idk if either of these count as actually going #1 overall since they are before the merger.

Appears Surtain might be taking Shyheim Carter's spot in nickel. If he does, I wonder if Shyheim will be in the dime package. Been hearing good things about Jared Mayden who may get that dime spot.
Thats somewhat surprising to me. I feel like I had read somewhere that Shyheim Carter was looking good at star. But good on Surtain, he must be exactly what everyone was hoping for to this point.
