I was thrilled to read that Johnny Dwight is having good workouts so far. We'll probably need multiple contributors in Daron Payne's absence. Is Mathis working at Nose? How 'bout Musika?

Musika had a pick six. Mathis seems much improved from what I have read.

TEs often have the most favorable matchups if they can just move and catch...and a QB who will throw over the middle.

Agree, and with guys like Hentges, Smith, Forristal, and James there are likely to be packages with fantastic run/pass multiplicity. It’s exciting.

Anyone have updates on Najee Harris? I just read he was injured in the scrimmage and missed practice today ( or at least wasn’t seen during media viewing).

Lots of ax grinding over Najee.

Saw one person on Twitter speculating he wanted to leave the team because he was upset last year over his number of carries. That's hard to believe right now because of how he was used in the NCG and the fact he's not worse the a co #2 back right now and should get plenty of carries as a true soph.

An injury is more believalbe, but I would imagine if it was serious we would have heard something by now.

I sure take any of the dissatisfaction talk with a grain of salt. The NFL (Not For Long) looks for backs who can block and catch passes. Anyone who aspires to play there should understand the shelf life issue and focus on developing their game versus crippling themselves with too much work and end up selling cars for a living.

Would rather hear that he was in a boot than using the scooter, but I doubt he would be out there at all if he was awaiting surgery.

Alabama star RB absent from practice due to ankle injury

Much concern was made over Twitter on Monday as Alabama football star running back, Najee Harris was absent from practice. The 6-foot-2, 230-pound sophomore was seen in the lobby of the player’s facility today, riding a scooter and wearing a black cast on his left leg. According to Touchdown Alabama Magazine’s Devin Jackson, who was reporting from fall camp, said the cast was sporting Harris’ left ankle while he’s wearing a walking boot.
