I remember getting chills when I heard that live just a few seconds before that game started on the CBS broadcast that day.
And what makes it even more special is how this became the 1st of so many to come under CNS!!!

Aside from numerous coaching quotes, my all-time favorite is
"Well Eli, Smokey just came out of the tunnel, and he's about 100 yards away from me now, and if I had my deer rifle I believe I could drop him, back to you Eli" -- sideline reporter ( and former player ) Jerry Duncan's comments to Eli Gold just prior to kickoff against Tennessee.

Saban's "Because if it means something to you, you can't stand still" pregame speech is probably my all time favorite.

Nick Saban - I believe it was part of his opening statements when he was introduced as the new Head Coach at Alabama.
