Probably at 35k or in an airport somewhere
incorrect. What he did is still a major violation today. University employees can’t directly pay athletes.

NIL collectives and individual donors operate with different rules.
I think you and I are mainly saying the same thing. What Pruitt did was not permissible when he did it (I didn't write, "but it would be today," though I can see how you might infer that I intended that). What ATM is doing would not have been permissible before 2021, but today, well, that's what I meant by "timing."

Saw where Tennessee fans were bragging about us not being able to get Jeremy Pruitt…I honestly think we are going to be fine with Kevin Steele. I think beyond Steel, Saban is probably going to stick with someone established until he decides retire to the lake.

Man I hate orange.
When I was very young had Tonsilitis all the time until I had surgery. The doctor would prescribe some orange colored and orange flavored lonzenges. Those things made me nauseated. I was conditioned at an early age to hate orange. Thank God I was born in Alabama and became a bama fam at an early age.

Tennessee will pay a penalty of 8 million dollars. They fired Jeremy Pruitt with cause and saved 12.5 million dollars. Tennessee isn't sweating the money.
They lose 28 scholarships over 5 years. So Tennessee doesn't have to pay for those scholarships. They will funnel that saved scholarship money into NIL money for "walk-ons" to pay their tuition.
Very little real penalty for the Vols.
Tennessee and Greg Sankey are grinning tonight.

See everyone says that about Tennessee and NIL. But put it this way. If you are recruit and you want to get paid. You can get paid to pay for your tuition at Tennessee. Or you can get paid AND have your tuition paid somewhere else. Pretty sure recruits know this.

I guess no more looking down the barrel of shotguns, eh?

there should have been a 3yr bowl ban given the nonsense they did.

this is a new era for no rules and no consequences.

Here’s to beating the viles mercilessly for the next 17 years :D

I'm over it.

It's so silly that the NCAA continues to punish programs for transgressions from previous coaches and players who are no longer there. I get that we all want our pound of flesh, but I know how ridiculous it is when Bama was punished for previous staffs' issues.

Punish the school financially, even players if they're shown to have cheated. Show causes are welcomed. But leave the current team alone.

I hate tennessee but I hate the NCAA worse - things like this are why. Just too dang lazy to figure out a better way to discourage this sort of behavior.

All the NCAA cares about is keeping its hand in the till.

One last thing. JP has legal representation so I think his next course of action will be to try and recoup a portion of the 12 million he’s owed by UT. Everyone will see if they settle with him for an amount they are trying to hide others involved. If they’re stupid and go to court, we’ll all know who else has been involved. RTR my friends. I’m

If that's the case, just bring Pruitt in.

Uncle Lou made a video saying Alabama was the loser in the Tennessee hearing. Good to know he is making videos between the court cases for his latest DUI. 🤣🤣🤣

Yeah I am over it. If Steele rides off into the sunset in a few years it’s probably Charlie strong or Jimmy lake. (Slapping a guys helmet trying to break up a fight isn’t a career ender).
IDK. I’m just tired of the cult of Pruitt just making up stuff to the point that you start to wonder if Pruitt is bigger than Alabama itself. I mean the guy is a great defensive mind but he is obviously a stupid individual. Both things can be true at the same time. Just like Tennessee is the most rotten organization in sports but they made a great decision to fire Pruitt for cause because they had mountains of dirt on him.

Im just more annoyed at how many try to act like Pruitt has an ace email exposing Tennessee, Saban is secretly getting him back, that he is about to win a massive lawsuit vs Tennessee,or that a show cause means nothing so he can come back. Pruitt messed up royally and it’s time everyone gets on board with that truth. While Tennessee is dirty… no one forced Pruitt to take the job and bow to the great pumpkin. In the end it goes back to the famous Vince McMahon line… “Tennessee didn’t screw Pruitt, Pruitt screwed Pruitt”

Eh well you also have to take into account the dumb Alabama fans that partake in his show. They are the dumbest of the dumb. I guarantee you that many are Pruitt cultists who keep pushing “the return of the savior” at him since Golding left.

Uncle Lou is a survivor of the TTC era and maybe the only one of those fools that is left. I give him props in his ability to expand where most of the TTC members just got stale doing the same old act and shows. But I find him way too irritating to tolerate anymore and I only search him when UGA loses because in a way he shows a more sensible side while melting.

I think the Golding era has kind of exacerbated it. Hear me out, The desire to get bama back to the good ole days of 2015-2017 kind of gives bama fans some nostalgia goggles. Do I think Jeremy Pruitt is a great DC. Absolutely…do I think he is the only guy who can be a great DC at Bama…no.
