I agree, but they have been with him for years. They helped get him that huge pay raise. Now they get fired.I think he is in a bad position. If he doesn't get rid of assistants as has been insisted, then he runs the risk of going down the path of Shula when he refused. I see both sides, but I think the coaches in question did well when they had the players to pull the wagon. When the cupboard was bare, they were unable to produce any results. Yes, the buck does stop with him, but that also includes the Assistants that he hired and put trust in for his administration. There are other things that the coaches in question have not produced in planning, self-scouting, etc.... that are some of the intangibles for the position. I expect to see more gone by the end of the year.
Coaching is brutal. You work 80 hours per week and literally give everything that you have to the game, but the game has no loyalty or memory.
