It's already past the point that these now meaningless bowl games need to be played at home stadiums to increase attendance. If the CFP can play their first round home games at home stadiums, I can't see why the meaningless bowl game can't do the same.

If we have a few mediocre years, we may view Kiffin differently.
For Kiffin defenders like me….all I heard was “oh you mean that other 9-3 coach”….two things now.

1. He was 9-3 @ Ole Miss

2. Now he is 10-3, and we were totally unprepared to end the season on a high note and finish 9-4.

Back to back 10+ win season for Ole Miss.

It is what it is. Kiffin has his shortcomings like any other coach.

I personally wish he didn’t burn too many bridges because I think some of the analytic non-sense aside, we may have hired a lesser football coach simply because we didn’t like the guy.

Looking way ahead to “if we have a few mediocre seasons”…

Here’s a wildcard: Urban Meyer

He may be our Nick Saban 2.0

He would never stay 17 seasons, but I’d take a UF or tOSU run. You guys know he’s not done coaching.

He also made the comment “you want to be the man that follows the man that followed the man”.

Just looking WAY ahead.

Roast away.

It's always been NCAA policy to try and play bowl games at neutral sites whenever possible, although sometimes it doesn't work out like when UCLA played Rose Bowl games. First round playoff games are not bowl games so they can be played on campus but quarterfinal games are bowl games so they must be neutral sites whenever possible. The sponsors of bowl games may be a factor as well where they may demand locations for their games be made well in advance and in most cases in warmer climates or indoors.
