Have anybody seen "Ragnarok" on Netflix? It's a reimagining of the Thor (not Marvel's version, obviously) mythology and it's---to me---hypnotic. My only nitpick is the dubbing which can be slightly distracting, otherwise, imo, it's interesting to say the least.

I've watched both seasons. It's pretty good ,and a good take on the mythology. I watch with subtitles - you can't understand Norwegian but you capture the meaning better (Netflix dubbing is pretty horrible).

A movie on Amazon Prime worth a watch - The Fall (2006 movie). Roger Ebert said it better that I could - " You might want to see [it] for no other reason than because it exists. There will never be another like it."

We watched a Netflix series The Fall set in Northern Ireland with Gillian Anderson as Detective Superintendent Stella Gibson. She was outstanding in the role. Is this what you are referring to?
If this is your cup of tea Unforgotten staring Nicola Martin season 4 begins on PBS in July. It is very well done. A PBS passport is worth the price of admission to catch the first three seasons. I find the woman detective leads to be highly interesting.

Yeah saw that. Good series. I’m referring to the movie from 2006.

Mrs. Basket Case and I are watching Manifest on Netflix. We’re only three episodes in, but it looks good so far.

About a commercial airliner that takes off with about 200 passengers from Jamaica on the way back to New York City. Experiences nasty turbulence on the way, but successfully lands. Trouble is: 4 hours have passed for the passengers….but it’s been over 5 years for the rest of the world.

Myriad complications ensue. So far, it’s mostly about the rest of the world moving on. But there’s a shadowy figure beginning to emerge. We’ll have to see how that develops.

Anyway, acknowledging that it’s really early, it’s been worthwhile, and we’re about to go another couple of episodes tonight.

We watched maybe half of season 1 when it came out on NBC, but gave up. The acting gets pretty bad.

I started watching Manifest because I "couldn't find anything else to watch." I am 5 episodes in myself. As of right now I am disappointed that it receives so little marketing on television. The story arch has a lot of promise.

This looks promising. It's rated 7.2 on imdb; over 7.0 is a pretty good benchmark for watchability.
