Guess who is the upset special on ESPN? You guessed it BAMA!

Nothing new there. I don't think anyone would be surprised if LSwho keeps it close, but realistically, this game should not be that close considering the glaring differences in the way each of the two teams have played in big games.

Seems like every week we are supposed to lose.. and we keep proving them wrong!

I love being doubted and I bet the team does too!
Just like we couldn't beat Miami in the 1993 Sugar Bowl...

Just like we couldn't beat Clemson to start the year...

Just like we couldn't beat Georgia in Athens much less whomp 'em....

Just like we couldn't beat Florida in the 1999 SECCG..

Yep. Heard it all before.

The day to be concerned is when they pick us to win BIG!!

It seems like we're picked to lose each week.

No respect.
Keep picking us to lose and eventually they may get it right...

Nationally, I think most would rather have UF, USC, or one of the high-scoring Big 12 teams play for the NC.

I think most are 'hoping' we lose than really thinking we will.

I'm sure once Bama puts the beat down on the Bayou Bengals, they will have more not so nice things about us! Roll Tide!

The line is only 3 points. JessN said it was an upset special of the week in the SEC (but he declined to pick the upset).

Personally, I don't get it because I don't think LSU matches up. The team I've been watching all year has looked like a #1 team, LSU hasn't.

They turn the ball over twice as much as Bama. They give up almost twice as many points. I've seen at least one team shut their running game down. They are almost entirely dependent on a redshirt freshman quarterback, Bama has a senior closing out his third year as a starter.

LSU will blitz too much, Alabama won't blitz enough. But that's okay, because a senior like JPW and a coordinator like CJM will make them pay for attacking the quarterback excessively; while Jarrett Lee can both be confused by mixing and disguising coverages and bothered by just the right amount of pressure.

LSU gets out-coached and I don't even think I'm talking about the head coaches.

If this Bama team can go to LSU, and pull out a win in this crazy environment. This will show the maturity of this young team ability to put the outside influences out of their head.
I know they have done it so far this year, but I don't think they seen anything like what they will see this Saturday. Hopefully they don't let LSU have a good start because then this game will be a dog fight all day with that crazy crowd......

Big game this weekend, and Bama better bring it's A game Saturday.......

:BigA: ROLL TIDE :BigA:

Call me a prophet...

Next week watch for this:
"Alabama has lost two in a row to Mississippi State. Alabama barely beat Kentucky and Ole Miss, and struggled against Tulane. Alabama has yet to play a good defense this year, and Mississippi State could possibly completely shut down the Tide's offense. Watch for the Bulldogs to pull off the upset in Tuscaloosa!"

Then a few weeks later...
"This Auburn team has nothing to lose. In a rivalry game that has been dominated by the Tigers recently, their defense will shut down 'Bama's offense. Alabama has not really played a truly great team all year, and has won in unspectacular fashion. Look for the Tigers to catch 'Bama looking ahead to the SEC championship game."

Does this make three SEC games in a row where we have been the popular upset pick?

Maybe being picked to lose so often lessens the impact of having a bulls eye on our back, which goes along with the high ranking. It also will be another motivator to help prove the pundits wrong and to justify the ranking. Of course if we lose, expect to hear "I told you so".

The boys up north would love to see the SEC go in the tank. This year the Big 12 has become the media darlings along with the USC from the left coast, thankfully they already have a loss to go with a weak schedule. There is no way any of those guys would go undefeated in the SEC.

I feel the first 8-10 minutes of the game will be especially important this week. In my opinion, 'motivation' and 'emotion' are factors in the first part of a game only. After that, reality sets in.

If LSWho comes out smoking hot and drives down to score, then gets a turnover, Bama will be faced with more adversity than it has faced all year.

But if the same blue collar Bama team shows up with their typical lets-take-care-of-business attitude, then all should be right with the world and Bama goes to 10-0.

RTR!

What does this even mean????:conf2:
Well......... if you watched the show you would know.

I was being a tad bit sarcastic..

Today and yesterday too I think there was a guy on there that is very young looks 14! I dont know who it is and I was trying to describe him to everyone who read the thread he looks to be mixed.... I have never seen him on ESPN before and he seems to think Alabama is going to get blown out by LSU..

It seems like we've been hearing the same statement since Week One.

"This game is the one that will define Alabama's season."
Yep, every game we play defines us. :)

I'm sure once Bama puts the beat down on the Bayou Bengals, they will have more not so nice things about us! Roll Tide!
Yep, we'll be the "upset special" next weekend too because of the Croom factor.

You are right on about that. Most of the "experts" will say that. Well, at least the "experts" that have no clue what they are talking about.
