Hamas attacks Israel - Part 2

A man in US military fatigues set himself on fire outside the Israeli embassy in Washington DC on Sunday, in protest of what he called a “genocide” against Palestinians in Gaza.

The protester was identified on Sunday by the independent journalist Talia Jane as Aaron Bushnell, 25, an active-duty service member of the US Air Force, who, from a public LinkedIn profile, appeared to work in the service’s IT department.

Late Sunday night, Jane reported that Bushnell had succumbed to the wounds sustained in the self-immolation.

Unbelievable.

The U.S. has announced plans to construct a sea bridge near Gaza to deliver humanitarian aid, but it could take weeks to be operational. CBS News national security correspondent David Martin got a first-hand look at the ships and troops who will be building a floating pier off Gaza's coast.

I have a question. After the aid is delivered to the sea bridge who will take into the Gaza Strip and distribute it? There is no functioning government and there hasn't been one for years. Most of the aid going in was stolen by Hamas for years. Water pipes sent to construct a water system were used to make rockets. I want the aid to go in, but how do you distribute it to the people that need it when Hamas is mixed in with the civilians and are trying to take the aid? Will American troops do it?

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer on Thursday criticized Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government, calling for new elections in a speech on the Senate floor on the Israel-Hamas war.

“As a lifelong supporter of Israel, it has become clear to me: The Netanyahu coalition no longer fits the needs of Israel after October 7. The world has changed, radically, since then, and the Israeli people are being stifled right now by a governing vision that is stuck in the past,” said Schumer, the highest-ranking Jewish elected official in America.

He does realize it is a coalition government right now with a war cabinet and that the man most likely to replace Netanyahu, Benny Gamtz is a part of that unity government and agrees with the invasion and ending of Hamas. If and when elections are held Netanyahu will most likely be replaced because of the attack and the failure of intelligence. A new government isn’t going to change the stance towards the Palestinians. The Oct 7th attacks did more to mobilize tbe population than anything ina long time. Any candidate that is “soft” on hams or the PA won’t be elected.

sen. schumer has long been one of israel's biggest supporters in the u.s. government, he is well aware of the situation
So it was just a political stunt? Because a change in government won’t change the situation in Gaza.

I have no problem with Israel ending Hamas. Their use of genocide as a means, however, should be completely unacceptable to the US. Instead, Biden is selling Israel more weapons. Send that stuff to Ukraine instead.

It could change what at times seems to be indiscriminate bombing/artillery attacks by IDF. Looking at the pictures at night on the news its difficult at first to tell if its Ukraine or Gaza.
Netanyahu has a lot of splainin' to do:
Why did he tell Quatar to continue to fund millions to Hamas just a few weeks before 10/6.
Why was he told some important details about the attack months before and apparently do nothing.
Why did it take so many hours after the attack began to respond.
