Question: How much longer will Freeze be the head coach at Aubarn?

  • Hi Guest, we are working on updating the site servers and software. We're also 'forcing' everyone to read and agree to our site privacy policy and terms of service. There are no significant changes to either of these but the terms page does clarify a few things that are mostly in the legalese. You can just click the checkbox for both and continue using the site as usual! We'll update you more on the site upgrades VERY soon! THANK YOU AS ALWAYS for supporting the site and being an active participant!

I remember the aubrens saying when harsin was kicked to the curb like last weeks garbage, if we could just get hugh freeze our problems will be solved, well, they got him, and they're going to treat freeze just like harsin and the rest, I still don't see why tubbs sticks to aubrens like he does after the way he was treated.

The part that has me curious is if this is going to finish up like Chizik's last season. I remember that Iron Bowl well; we could have scored a hundred on them. Freeze might be able to salvage something, but if they lose to Missou, I've got a feeling the avalanche begins in earnest. Credit where credit's due, they have one HELL of a defense, but if they just stop playing knowing it won't matter, it could get really, really ugly.

A broken spirit can't be fixed mid-season and this isn't like the old days where the kids played for pride or for the university. (Rivalry games just don't mean as much as they used to.) When major college football has become a farm system for the NFL, most of these kids are utterly perplexed by the notion of loyalty.
Well said, Jazz! 😎

Interesting stats:

-----
SEC coaches fired after losing to Missouri
  • Derek Dooley - Tennessee, 2010-12
  • Bret Bielema - Arkansas, 2013-17
  • Butch Jones - Tennessee, 2013-17
  • Derek Mason - Vanderbilt, 2014-20
  • Dan Mullen - Florida, 2018-21
----
Interesting. I might watch the fourth quarter of this one, but I can see this one with a 6-3 score at halftime. While I am loathe to give them credit for anything, that barner D is the truth.

The fantastic 2012 Baby Seal Clubbing game... Ahh yes...

I still wish they'd have set up and let Ben Howell score a TD in that one.

to be totally honest, Auburn has played fairly well this year, subtract the critical mistakes, some not of their doing, and they Coulda/ Woulda beaten Georgia and OU. They hung with Aggie too. I’ve heard the powers that be in allbarn are taking that into consideration.
Freeze is 5-14 in the SEC at Auburn, if they want him to stay, I say we should encourage them.

Gundy would be a fut for them. He. Needs a place where they have NIL Money. I dont care for that team but Gundy I believe would be a decent hire for them.
Few years back I was walking back to my hotel room at around 3 am after enjoying the night a little too much. The elevator door closed almost all the way and someone pushed the button which was annoying. In walked Gundy with about 4 sprites and 3 cokes bundled up in his arms. At the time I had a unique hair style and Gundy obviously was still sporting the mullet. My room was on the 4th floor and his was on the third. We struck up a quick conversation and ended up talking about hair for 5 minutes as he held the door of the elevator before he got out on the third floor. I told him some people had told me to cut my hair and he looked at me very intensely and said, "never cut your %$&^*(*&^^ hair". It was one of those silly moments that you will never forget. I always liked Gundy but liked him even more after his inspirational hair speech.

Bama fans will never like Tubbs. It really isn't rocket science. He will get votes from the Barners. Nothing more, nothing less. Tubbs is all about Tubbs. Infamous story that happens to be true when he was at Texas Tech. He was at a dinner at a nice restaurant with a few recruits. He got a phone call and told the recruits he was going to the restroom and would be right back. The recruits sat there for over an hour and Tubbs never resurfaced from the bathroom. The next day they saw on the news that he was the new head coach at Cincinnati. If that doesn't tell you who he is then...
