Question: How much longer will Freeze be the head coach at Aubarn?

The most Auburn thing ever would be to fire Freeze, name Durkin the interim coach, and then promote him to the permanent gig when he manages to win a couple of games because he’s a good “cultural fit”. A guy with a career HC record below .500 who killed a kid at Maryland.

Watch and see if this isn’t what happens, especially considering how strong the defense has been under Durkin.

He's probably the best they can get anyways.

Not elite coach would ever take that gig... :cool:

You want an even more Awbarn scenario. Freeze is fired. Barn brings back Bruce Pearl as head football coach because "what better person who is FAMILY can bring us back to where we belong". They then hire ULM's ex-coach Charlie Weatherbie as OC for obvious reasons and posthumously hire Monty Kiffin as DC. Barn fans squawk all offseason about how they will never lose to Alabama again only to go 3-11 the following season.

He was the last guy Saban interviewed before he retired, so he clearly wanted Durkin to replace him at Bama!

The only unrealistic thing about this is the 3-11 record since you'd only play a dozen games.
