I watched the game also. Ole Miss looked like they got into the cruise control mindset and never recovered. Just going through the motions, so to speak. The majority of the fans left at halftime and were a sad, drunk and upset bunch after the game. Sunday they were a sad, upset, hungover bunch. I pretty much had the run of Oxford Sunday when I went to town.:p.

Sip, I've got some more pics coming in to you some time this week.

The funniest part is that while this loss was big, it's not getting the national attention like App. State's victory of Michigan. No respect for Ole Miss (and for good reason).

This loss had nothing to do with Masoli. It was all about the Ole Miss defense. This was supposed to be a dominating unit. They looked out of sorts and confused.

I don't quite get the Masoli hate. The kid made some mistakes, and is getting a second chance. If you do some reading you will see the "theft" conviction was dubious at best. Even the guy he was with says Masoli knew nothing about it. Yeah he got busted for pot, but I don't consider that to be all that serious, dumb yes, but not an indication that the guy is a thug as most people on here seem to think.

I made enough mistakes when I was young that I appreciate a second chance.

There was no hate concerning Masoli. I even pointd out that he actually played pretty well.
But Stanley was on fire and I honestly think if he had've stayed in the game that it would have been a complete rout. The Rebs were scoring at will until he was replaced. And after that....the fire just seemed to go out.

Actually, it's more like his third 2nd chance.

I hope he stays clean and on the right side of the law with this latest new chance.

I find it hard not to like Houston Nutt. But I wouldn't want him coaching the Tide.

As I understand it, Houston Nutt was hand-picked by Frank Broyles, who also coached Jimmy Johnson. Nutt and Johnson are both good 'ol boys who played at Arkansas. Johnson did what Nutt probably could not do, coach at the University of Miami, and Nutt is part of the FCA, which I doubt Johnson has ever been a part of.

If you're exposed to very much of Nutt and his dealings, you'll find you'll hate him. He comes across as this caring, it's all for the kids, etc when in reality he's sleazy. Check with the Peyton Hillis', Damian Williams, and Mitch Mustangs to see how caring and genuine he is. It's interesting that the majority of the fans in his last two coaching stops despise him with a passion.

BTW, Broyles pick was Tubberville but the glorified dog and pony show called "The Search Committee" wanted Nutt.

Nutts a nut.
I actually think Nutt's a good football coach, but I think he made a mistake taking Stanley out when he was lighting it up.

It was like taking out a pitcher who has a no hitter going through five innings to check out the new middle reliever just called up from AAA ball.

Sometimes, no matter how bad you want to see someone else play you let the hot guy have his day. Stanley may have very well passed for 500 yards Saturday.
He couldn't miss in the first quarter and a half..
