If you could go back in time and watch any Alabama football game in person, which one would it be? Of course, you would know the outcome, but I find it exciting to watch old games when they come on ESPN Classic or some of the Crimson Classic games. You usually notice a lot of things that you forgot happened. There are also other things you would get to see like past coaches, stadiums, cheerleaders, fans, etc.
If I had to choose...I would probably go with the 1967 Sugar Bowl. We blew out Nebraska and should have been awarded the National Championship. Coach Bryant said it was one of, if not his best team. Being as young as I am, I hate that I wasn't alive to witness the 1966 team. Reading all about them in "The Missing Ring" was awesome, but I wish I could have watched them play in person.
Runner up was the 1979 Sugar Bowl...because of the Goal Line Stand...and because it was my parents' first date...and almost 3 years later came theBIGyowski.
