Everyone had to know that fatigue would eventually set in. The damage done at the border by the previous administration will never be completely undone. I can't believe I'm saying this, but maybe Homan should reach out to the Obama administration and ask how they were able to deport so many people in such a short period of time. The right rarely gives Obama credit for anything, but he earned his title of "deporter-in-chief."

Yes, Biden could have certainly done better with the border. However, the topic is ICE and the backlash from the way it's being used.
Which is an extension of the border issue. No open borders would mean no ICE (or at least a hell of a lot less), agreed? Less ICE, less backlash. Sounds like a simple formula to me. We've got a big problem now and it's not going away anytime soon. If there's an upside to the chaos, it's that a lot of people have decided to self-deport in light of what is happening. I think that would be my preferred way to go.
That is not true. The vast number of currently illegal immigrants have entered the country via a legal visa (such as a guest visa, etc.) at the port of entry and then overstayed it.

Except that it's not that simple, black and white. It's supply and demand. The demand is being created by Miller and his minimum of 3K per day deported, no matter what their criminal record. It's indiscriminate and leads to corrections officers dressed in civvies, wearing masks, chasing day laborers through Home Depot. The parallels are so Gestapo-like, the backlash has just begun...
