Oats will hold a press conference tomorrow, presumably to address this situation. Per UA, Miles is off the team and "removed from campus." The worst thing about this incomprehensible situation is that a 5-year-old boy is now without his mother.
He’s from Baltimore/DC I think.Sounds like a case of hanging with people he shouldn’t have. Probably old neighborhood friends and now he’s paying for it.
May be a roommate thing. Just asking what they know. Geez.Hearing two other players were interviewed extensively. Let's hope it ends here.
I don't think so.Have they said which one pulled the trigger?
My guess is he plead not guilty and lawyered up.Just listened to the press conference. Not much new info. Other than it does sound like there isn't any impact on any of the other players..... which is good. Darius is claiming he's innocent - not sure what that means.... (not him? self-defense? etc) -- ugh! sad all around
I've been wondering the appropriate time to discuss the impact of this situation on the team. Oats says he gathered the team together yesterday. While all the facts about Miles' involvement aren't known yet, this has to be an incredible shock and enormous distraction to his teammates. The older players (Q, Sears, Gurley) will really need to step up their leadership role to keep this young team focused on their goals. In a season of so many highs, this is a terrible low. We'll find out where things stand tomorrow night.Tough news. Let’s make sure we keep it basketball related here. If we need another thread for NS we can do that.
I'm no spring chicken and still feel that way.I was always told nothing good happens after midnight.
I thought the news said he was from BirminghamHe’s from Baltimore/DC I think.
I’d say that murdering a woman/being an accessory to murder is a bit more than “not a good look”…Not a good look for this young man.
