Introduce ourselves.

You didn't have to tell that part, Earle! I know it's really a misuse of the verse but hey people twist the Bible to say what they want it to say all the time. Anyways, in this case I prefer to think of "high place" as the pinnacle, the best. I always like to jab Auburn fans with that verse. Many don't know that is talking about idolatry so I say "but you know Bama is the scriptural team to pull for, don't you?" :)

I am a female TIDE fan, and yes we are a vocal & opinionated group :) I love to go the games when my job allows. Well, actually I just tell my Boss, "Hey I got to have this weekend and this weekend off for a game..OR else!: wink:
I do have priorties ya know :)

I have been following the TIDE since 1979 or 1980. I was first introduced to TIDE football when I was 13 or there about. However, I didn't really grow to love it until years later.

I am excited about our new Coach and looking forward to many many wins for the TIDE!!

I'm 28 years into my life with two kids and a wonderful wife. I gave my life to Jesus in 1998 and haven't looked back. I am currently serving on Active duty in the U. S. Coast Guard and am stationed in Mobile, AL. Ever since I can remember I have been an Alabama fan. I am 110% behind Dixie's football pride. I really enjoy the information on this board. I love the family oriented protocol. I can't stand anything to do with Awbarn Univ. When I'm not trying to teach my children to be outstanding Southern Americans I am instilling a distaste for the cow college. So far it's working! ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!!

Hi Everybody!

Roll Tide! I'm 51 years old. Life-time Bama fan. Born and raised in Montgomery. Never was good at sports. I started playing guitar when I was 12, switched to bass when I was 17. I've played in bands since I was 14. I'm still playing... I'm also a graphics artist/draftsman.

December of 2005, I needed a liver transplant. It was the most horrible year of my life. I received one October 25, 2006 at U.A.B. It's been tough, but God has been with me... It's great to be alive!!

I hope to meet some of you in person sometime.

Jack:cool:

Im 31 and have been looking at this site for about 5 years now. Im a red blooded southern boy who served this country for 12 years in the US Army before getting disabled in 2004. My lovely wife, and 2 children are born and raised Bama Fans. We have been all around the world and I could usually spot some sort of Bama fame (shirt, hat, pictures) in any country. I really love this site and the info I get from this site. Keep up the good work and ROLL TIDE!!!:BigA:

Well I figure it's about time I posted myself into this thread...I'm Rebecca I've been on TideFans for almost 4 years now. I am a freshman at The University majoring in Education. I used to post much more before I moved to Tuscaloosa, I now have so much to do I don't have that much time. My brother is biglittlelittle so if you see me smart off about one of his posts, it's the sibling thing. I was born and raised right in Marietta Georgia just to move to Tuscaloosa this past August! I have loved every minute of Alabama and I couldn't imagine a greater life on Earth.

Hello My Bama Brothers and Sisters, I can't tell you how excited I am about
the upcoming season and finally posting my first message on Tide Fans. I am from Gadsden originally and currently live in Greensboro, NC(since 1959) with a few other Bama fans. "Now, let the journey begin...back to #1!" Jim Garrison

i'm darren, i'll be 44 next month. i've lived in western maryland all my life.
i've been a Bama fan since the mid-to-late 70's. 78-79 for sure. i remember being the ONLY one in the room cheer for "the goal-line stand" against psu in the sugar bowl!

i was a pretty good QB and track sprinter in high school but never really thought much about going to college. my parents never attended college and had done pretty well, so i figured i wouldn't either.
before my senior year of HS i attend football camp at clemson and did shockingly well to my surprize!...... well some other people noticed, clemson, vt, uva., wvu and some how later on Alabama. sometime later even ucla and oregon st. it was VERY over whelming!
our senior season didn't go well, we finished 2-8, i was beaten up pretty good by the end of the year and everyone had backed away except for uva and vt. but no firm offers.
at the start of track season an opposing coach shows me a letter he had written to some he knew at Alabama, telling this person that he thought i'd be a great fit for the Bama program! a few weeks later he hands me a response from CPB himself! the next letter i got was to walk-on in august and get schollied in january.......... being 18 and stupid, i went to work, never went to school at all and have to sit and wonder "what if?"

a couple years later my brother is accepted to school at UA and graduated in 88 with rece davis with a communications degree. you all have Seen ALOT of his work! he's a cameraman for espn and cbs...... he may have graduated BUT I'M the bigger Bama fan!

i now have 20 years service with the city, the last 11 as a serviceman in the Electric Dept. through the years i'd get down to 1-2 games a year.

i'm recently re-married. my new wife never knew what college football was. all she knew was the washington redskins. her first Bama game was 2005 Lsu and she can't wait to go to another! until her first game she just couldn't grasp what it was like from seeing it on tv and hearing my stories.
well i've bored you all enough,
ROLL TIDE !!:BigA:

Hey guys and gals...

I'm Jamie. I live about 20 miles south of Bham in Maylene, Alabama. I went to Lexington High School (close to Florence), grew up in Lexington and married a really pretty girl from Florence; definitely outkicked my coverage. :)

My wife's dad was head basketball coach at Coffee High, which is now combined with the old Bradshaw to be Florence High. I didn't play football in high school (too small), but I've always been a big fan of the Tide and a student of the game in general. As the movie "Grease" says: "If you can't be an athlete, be an athletic supporter." :) I get to a lot of Bama home games, and enjoy high school football in my area, too—Thompson and Hoover, mostly.

I'm now a senior editor with The Progressive Farmer, a magazine based in Bham. My wife is assistant principal at an elementary school in Shelby County.

That's enough—or too much, I guess. ROLL TIDE!

~Jamie (and hey... this is my 100th post!)
