How about telling ND to join a conference if they want to be in the playoff?
Or Alabama and UGA, hahahahahahaYou know what would be funny and also make the rest of College Football implode is if…
Alabama and Clemson end up playing for the National Championship somehow….![]()
People's heads would explode.Or Alabama and UGA, hahahahahaha
She is an idiot and has always favored the ACC.Heather D has Miami in and us out and her reasoning this morning is that Miami has 2 close losses against GT and Syracuse and the committee weighs close losses heavily and that is better than 2 of our losses against Vandy and OU who each have 6 losses.
I mean, the point is accurate but that and 2 losses vs 3 losses are literally the only 2 things in their favor. Every other metric favors Bama.
This will not be a slam-dunk either way.Heather D has Miami in and us out and her reasoning this morning is that Miami has 2 close losses against GT and Syracuse and the committee weighs close losses heavily and that is better than 2 of our losses against Vandy and OU who each have 6 losses.

IF it helps us, I have no issue rooting for UGA.as unsettling as it is we might have to root for uga Saturday to help our case
I have no faith whatsoever about what Heather Dinich says. She doesn't appear to do any homework on any of the analytics, at least it doesn't come across. She just seems to try to convey this "insider" aura, but I would doubt that any committee member is really feeding her anything insightful.Heather D has Miami in and us out and her reasoning this morning is that Miami has 2 close losses against GT and Syracuse and the committee weighs close losses heavily and that is better than 2 of our losses against Vandy and OU who each have 6 losses.

yeah, I don't like that they even have a shot.IF it helps us, I have no issue rooting for UGA.
In fact, the idea of Texas winning the SEC in their first year as a member is almost enough alone to root for UGA.
I'm with you. But they've been preparing well, and NIL arrived just in time for a cash advantage to translate into a talent advantage. They are going to be a handful going forward.yeah, I don't like that they even have a shot.
How about close wins? or escapes...the U has a couple of very lucky wins on their resumeHeather D has Miami in and us out and her reasoning this morning is that Miami has 2 close losses against GT and Syracuse and the committee weighs close losses heavily and that is better than 2 of our losses against Vandy and OU who each have 6 losses.

She was originally hired by ESPN as an ACC beat writer but, she is also an idiot that is always against Alabama. She is an idiot and has always favored the ACC.
Don't forget $$$ is a factor. Alabama games are watched by Alabama fans. Alabama games are watched by football fans. Alabama games are watched by people who hate Alabama. Not every team can say the same. At the end of the day money does play a factor in who gets in. It is what it is...The Top 12 are in the Playoffs. Lots of teams have had "off" years with some bad losses. It won't be easy to find 12 highly and richly deserving teams. And finally, nobody on the Committee will be able to envision any scenario in which Alabama football is not in the Top 12.
Top 8? Bama not in. But the system is Top 12. I think Bama will always be in the Top 12. Reputation and Pedigree counts with the Committee. Some say it shouldn't. But IMHO, so long as humans are on the Committee, they will consider Rep and Pedigree, because those two factors bring TV ratings.
People will tune in to watch Alabama in the playoffs.
they should trot hope out in a bikiniIf Alabama makes the playoffs, SECshorts better be epic
Most Bama fans are also true college football fans. I can't speak for all of them, but I still hold out hope that college football will get a few things figured out and at least begin to resemble the game I've always loved once again. That would include discipline and accountability in my book. When you know that the playoffs are in your hands if you take care of business in your last two games, but you travel to play a very average OU team and lay that steaming pile of crap on the field, you know that you do not deserve the playoffs. I still want college football to mean something. With that said, there are also other teams that are making the entire situation a farce (I'm borrowing the word that others have used.), so I will definitely still cheer for Bama if they get chosen.I'm not sure we deserve to be in the playoff, but I can't see how any Bama fan wouldn't want to get in, deserving or not.
