Paul Johnson is showing Alabama fans something

I have not been promoting PJ at all. This is totally unbiased. I've been hoping we'd look at Tedford.

That said, I get the feeling that Paul Johnson has heard the concerns from Bama fans that we really don't want the option back here. It keeps a quarterback hurt and our personnel isn't up for it. I feel like he is showing us his willingness to change completely. Nothing we have seen in this game thusfar looks like the Navy offense we've seen all year. IF he is willing to make this big of a change, I'd be a little more optimistic with him coming. A head coach doesn't necessarily need a philosophy. That's what a coordinator is about. A head coach simply needs to be a proven leader. Perhaps, Paul Johnson is trying to show us that he can be that.

Just my thoughts.

I expect the Navy game plan has less to do with impressing the Powers That Be at Alabama, at this time, than with how best to use the talent he has in order to beat the players they have to beat out. I have not been on Johnson's bandwagon before, but this does impress me. :)

how would JPW do in an offense like Army's--- I think with the personnel we have now we would do ok--- John's as the rb and Big Andre as the fullback

I've come to realize that coaches arent as greedy as I once believed. Coaches like Tedford, Schiano, that Wake Forest guy, and Rodriguez have it made in the shade at their schools. Thats something money cant buy. These guys are already richer than any of us will ever be. Is leaving a perfect situation really worth an extra 1 million per year?

Did you hear the interview with the Navy player who is battling cancer? What a class young man. I sure would like to have a teamload of guys with that mindset.

Wow, on the replay, it certainly looked like he made that 4th down. What a terrible spot. I am still impressed with CPJ.

You seem to be the only one consumed by them. :rolleye2:
Hmmm, well, first, i dont know that ive ever posted about them, even once, so im not sure how that qualifies as being "consumed." But if you're suggesting that I care whether a particular football coach has a team that cannot escape continuing allegations that he (even tacitly) allows or encourages his players to use steroids, or that MULTIPLE players on his team have been accused of rape....well, yeah, I guess I care about that. I guess if his team can run the ball, and he's a "winnah," then that's enough for you. To each his own.

"winnah" ???? in quotes. i hope you're not mocking CPB.

but, yes, he's teams can run the ball. lack of a decent running game is the reason Bama is in the horrible shape it's in. we don't need a QB for a head coach. We need a stinking running game!

i don't think we'll even offer CPJ. the reason being is that i heard MM didn't like him.
