Every year Saban has been here he gets a highly touted JUCO in the area we suffered the most in the previous year. This year he gets two, he must be really ....ed off. Williams is gonna wreak havoc, and Douglas should be a good one if he keeps his head in the right place. I wouldn't be surprised to see Kouandijo take Fluker's spot if Douglas gets the other one.
That would surprise me. Big time.

As I said in the other thread it would have more of an impact on X Ward.
I usually take the road that if you don't have anything good to say keep your mouth shut, but can't in this case. I watched X Ward play in two games this season and couldn't for the life of me understand why we had given him an offer other than his size.

To end on a positive note, welcome Aaron look forward to you opening holes for Trent and protecting AJ and Phillips back.

Shouldn't he be rated a 4*+?
Yes. I looked through the JUCO top 50 a few days ago and was shocked to see him as a 3-star. Someone pointed out he hasn't had tape sent around, but quite honestly, he's a known quantity on the field.

So we're looking at having TWO All Sec Freshman offensive tackles next year? Man, what are we going to do? :biggrin2:

Have the brothers, a true freshman and a red-shirt freshman, try to beat them out. The important thing is the second team line will be better by leaps-n-bounds.

You think Saban was not happy with the o line this year? hmmm. really good pick up. CNS will hopefully keep him in line. With all that has been going on at TN lately....best this kid get out of Dodge.

how positive are you ?
Well, we didn't take Douglas because we missed on Cyrus. Now, Cyrus could not like the fact that we took a JuCo to sure up LT next year, but I don't think the Kouandjio's are that type. Cyrus will bust his rear (I mean, look at him) and try to beat him out. Worst case scenario for Cyrus is that he takes a RS and plays back-up for one year, starting as LT as a RS Soph.

Are you honestly questioning RTO, one of the many people you ask recruiting advice from? When RTO speaks, we all listen.
Well, I don't have the connections I once did.... but thanks. But, I don't think rangerman meant anything by that post.

AD is the surprise, or one of the surprise pick-ups Bama seems to get every year under CNS.

I wouldn't put to much into star ratings. How many times have we seen a 4 or 5 star bust and a three star, uhhhh say win the Heisman??

I would imagine that Aaron Douglass and Cyrus Kouandjio will battle for the LT spot. Douglass will have the upper hand, as he'll have played in the SEC before, as well as having a spring under his belt at Alabama. However, Cyrus will come in ready to go for fall camp next August.

I'm starting to see why CNS didn't have room for a frosh RB as a EE. He clearly needed those EE spots to address positions of need like DT and OL. CNS needed these guys to come in for spring practice and off season conditioning so they'll be ready to contribute right away next year. I don't think Dee Hart would/will contribute next year he'd prolly RS. IMO

I agree, unless he was just so impressive they couldn't help but put him on the field. I think he will contribute similarly to what Corey Grant will bring to the table, so I think he would be one step behind Grant, thus redshirting.
