This is my only concern.Great player, and he has the accolades.
Hopefully he got his problems cleared up in his time out west.
Besides C Grant you also have B Sims and D White who came in last year. All can play the slot and be all purpose type of players.I agree, unless he was just so impressive they couldn't help but put him on the field. I think he will contribute similarly to what Corey Grant will bring to the table, so I think he would be one step behind Grant, thus redshirting.
As RTO already mentioned, no impact. Cyrus will wear Crimson.with this guy now in the mix how do we look on the o line next year? does this impact cyrus or no?
I've seen several Vols say that Douglas has gotten down to about 250 pounds, but I'd find it hard to believe Saban would take a JUCO LT who's that light.
Anyone heard anything about Douglas' weight? I know he was recruited as a TE out of HS, so he might have a lean frame.
Most of the Vol fans that I have seen on the Internet are literally livid about Douglas ending up at Bama. I would post a link or two but their comments are way over the top offensive. Don't believe a word of what they are saying about Douglas. He is listed as 6'6" 290 lbs and when he gets to Bama and into the fourth quarter program he will for sure end up over 300 lbs by the time he hits the field next season. I am sure he will play tackle and not TE.I was wondering if he may be tried at TE. If he moves well and has the hands size would just help with the running game.
I don't know much about his career at UT, but I image if he made the move to OT as a freshman and has been playing there ever since, there is little chance of him moving back to TE. Also, I believe our TE situation is looking pretty good for 2011 with Williams and Smelley.I was wondering if he may be tried at TE. If he moves well and has the hands size would just help with the running game.
Not to mention RS Freshman Brian Vogler who I think will make waves at TE in 2011.Also, I believe our TE situation is looking pretty good for 2011 with Williams and Smelley.
I should send this to the "sappy Christmas letter" thread. Makes me feel warm inside. Most of the Vol fans that I have seen on the Internet are literally livid about Douglas ending up at Bama. Apparently he's just not very good at drinking. My perpetual OL hand-ringing just got a lot worse.awesome way to start! can he not drink at home and not drive?
