One of my all time favorite Bama players. He may not have been a five star or highly drafted to the NFL, but he played his heart out every time he set foot on the field. My husband's cousin, Mike, died of this brutally devastating disease. Kevin knew there was no hope for improvement and faced the steady decline of his body while his mind remained alert. Sit well with God, Kevin. The world lost a good one today. Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.

Prayers to Kevin's family/friends. Really sad to hear of this. No more suffering. Absolutely one of my all time Bama players. IMO, he played like one is suppose to, he left it all on the field. Loved watching him run. RTR

Saw a picture of him today at the Oyster House in Mobile after lunch today. Told my grandson, "there was a gutty player, one of my favorites". Prayers from our family to his. a terrible disease.

Not many players stood out like he did. Prayers to his family and for him.

When faced with a relentless disease like ALS, you can either lay down and quit or you can fight it with everything you have. Those that fight are not fighting for their own lives, but rather for those they love and those that will have to share in that fight themselves. KT's body simply couldn't keep up with his mind and heart. We can all be comforted that even after his death, his hard work will carry on. There is a lot of research still yet to do and I look forward to the day this horrible disease only exists in history books.
