LANK/NIL...

If the players or the LANK crowd are truly running the show now in Tuscaloosa, I'm ready for them to hit the road. If NIL has that much power and control over college football, then the game we all loved is over. Then again, why isn't it showing up for other programs like it is with Bama if that's the case? It's looking more and more like Saban lost the team last year, and it carried over to this year's team with LANK.
Could Coach D’s first team be similar to Coach Saban’s first year at Bama? He had some Shula leftover thugs that he should have kicked off the team. Went 7-6 with Bowl win but somewhat cleaned house after that with his players. What you think?

It is possible. If he can find a QB to run his offense correctly, either through promotion or transfer, it could even be likely.

The sad thing right now, despite it all, there are newsheads out there speculating that he could be forced out if he loses the Iron Bowl.............which is ludicrous. Saban lost his first Iron Bowl and I think even Coach Bryant lost his..........only Coach Hold the Rope won his debut.

He has a QB coming in that more than likely can run the offense, and has at least 3 that are capable........yet here we are with the whole thing. Give the guy his 3 years and see what he can do

Can't waste your time listening to people like that. Don't give them the head space.

Austin Mack? He now has 2 years in CKD's system. He probably knows it better than any of our other QBs.

Otherwise, look for an experienced QB through the portal.

Coach Stallings won his first Iron Bowl in 1990.

The only thing that makes me unsure if Simpson is the guy is that some of our coaches have been following WSU’s quarterback. Could be nothing but it could be a signal that they are trying to get him down here for the spring. I expect us to atleast consider a transfer quarterback

If Milroe comes back in any capacity it might set the program back 10 years. I think it’s understood at this point that his last game at BDS is Saturday.
Coaches from every school has started following that kid, USC, OU, WV, Duke. I think that’s more anticipation that he has outgrown his situation on the Pelouse and will hit the portal.

Then you sit down with them and do some tough negotiating..............Bama has plenty of lawyers as do they.
Which leads me to an interesting plot twist: What if the schools take it to court and then just make motions and countermotions and all the other crap lawyers do to pad their billable hours until there's no money left for the player to pay their lawyer? Bankrupt them early.

What I've been told is CKD WILL INSTALL his full offense next season and that is the expectation of those returning and those coming in from the reruiting class. He's not putting a QB behind center who can't run it. Take that for what it implies.
At this point he would have to Run his full offense. If next year doesn’t go well, he will be coaching for his football life. Might as well use everything in your arsenal, instead of limiting yourself and possibly losing your job.

If the lawsuit settlement, can’t remember the particulars, is upheld by the presiding judge, I think we get a salary cap in 2026? Right now it’s set for $22mm for players in the entire athletic department and $12mm for the football players. If that’s the case , anyone knows what Will happen with NIL collectives and the like, or what would happen to player ran entities like LANK?

He must have thought he could ride things out this year and still make the playoffs and worry about 2025 in 2025.

He was wrong.

You can cut a schollie player as well...

Best thing to tell the kid is he won't be allowed into the lcoker room and will NOT be issued equipment. Message will be received clearly!
Cut their key card off. Charge with trespassing if need be to make a point.

All because the NZAA pointy-headed idiots wouldn't make rational decsions.
I’m fully convinced even if the NCAA allowed some form of NIL without the Supreme Court decision, we would eventually take the path we are on Now.
