He probably thinks it’s what Michigan did to him in the first quarter.Yeah, that's sickening to hear about.
Wonder if JM even knows what a "hot route" is???

Hold on a second! I saw Helen Keller years ago play QB for the Tuscumbia Fighting Braillers. Annie Sullivan was the offense coordinator.Wouldn't matter because the Center would have to call it out/signal it.
As far as QB'ing responsibilities at the LOS go Milroe might as well be Helen Keller.
That’s funny because I firmly believe there are ulterior motives if you ARE on the NILroe train…I wasn't a huge fan of him before all the stuff with NILroe happened, but once he went full dufus mode with his NILroe fanboydom I've actively avoided Smith. He was absolutely in the middle of trying to prop NILroe up and make it like there had to be ulterior motives if you were not on the NILroe train.
Trey Sanders. He stayed with us a few years though. Horrible injury luck.Who was the 5-star RB a few years ago that was going to win 3 Heismans? He was in the portal after a year, and I don’t believe he’s been heard from since.
I felt sorry for that kid. In fall camp of his freshman year, he has a lisfranc fracture of his foot leading to surgery that took out for the season. Recovers from that and starts to show promise, and then he is involved in an auto accident where he fractures his pelvis and has internal injuries.Trey Sanders. He stayed with us a few years though. Trey Sanders went from a prognosis of "may never walk again" to playing college football. His story is pretty amazing and I have a ton of respect for the kid for what he endured to get back on the field.I felt sorry for that kid. Trey transferred to TCU for his last years but never saw the field much there either.
That’s kind of my thought about Keelon Russell. We’ve seen kids come out of high school as “can’t miss” or “the next great”. And sometimes they pan out, but many times they don’t. The same going from college to pro. There are too many factors that go into it, including injury.
I like Trey Sanders. I’m sure you’re right. I was confusing him with someone else that never played, or played very little, and was gone after 1 year.Trey Sanders. He stayed with us a few years though. Horrible injury luck.
Transferred to TCU. I don’t remember how he did overall, but I recall seeing him get in the end zone in a bowl game I believe…I was happy for him.Trey Sanders. He stayed with us a few years though. Horrible injury luck.
Camar Wheaton is the one I was thinking of.I like Trey Sanders. I’m sure you’re right. I was confusing him with someone else that never played, or played very little, and was gone after 1 year.
Efficient and proficient, move the offense forward, even if it’s a slide after three yards. The CFP final has Howard/Leonard as QBs...both played at average programs prior ( KSU/Duke) but both have experience and can manage a game...they have ok arms and passing ability, and can run when needed....JJ McCarthy last year was the same...i think having a gunslingling QB who throws for 300/4TD isnt necessary - experience and some semblance of dual threat is enough...our QB room doesnt have this...one of them is going to have to step into this role vs wanting to be a hero for us to be successful....and of course we have to truly see what KDB expects from a QB too
Good article. Thanks for posting it.In the car wreck, his pelvis fractured and when the bone came off it ripped open his' bladder. The seriousness of the injuries was so severe that when paramedics first called Alabama to give an update, they told Crimson Tide sports medicine director Jeff Allen: “We have one of your players and we think he's going to make it.” No guarantees.
In addition to all of that, during the medevac to the hospital, one of his lungs collapsed.
This is an interesting article that also really shines a positive light on CNS and the staff.
Hope: After Multiple Setbacks, Trey Sanders Continues to Build Confidence
After a foot injury ended his freshman season before it began and a serious car accident left him recovering through his junior year, Sanders approaches 2022 as a fully-healthy player for the first time in his college career.www.si.com
Wheaton didn't exactly set the woods on fire after playing in 1 game at Bama and transferring. He's had a little over 700 yards in 2 seasons at SMU with one start. He blew his knee in fall practice and did not play this season.Camar Wheaton is the one I was thinking of.
I knew I hadn’t heard much out of him.Wheaton didn't exactly set the woods on fire after playing in 1 game at Bama and transferring. He's had a little over 700 yards in 2 seasons at SMU with one start. He blew his knee in fall practice and did not play this season.
I agree and if it’s a tie, give Ty the first shot but let all 3 play it out and go in to the first game undecided if need be. We have got to stop worry about who will transfer if they don’t play right away or if someone starts over them. Start who gives us the best chance to win and let the chips fall where they fall.Keelon Russell may be the next great one. Then again he may not. We’ve seen a number of “can’t miss” prospects do just that - miss.
I want an open and fair competition among all them. And the best earns the nod. If you can’t separate the three, then IMO the job (at least initially) goes to Ty or Austin. Commitment has to mean something. If “all world” Arch Manning can sit behind Quinn Ewers for two years with only limited spot playing or certain packages, then so can Russell.
I am now way past this notion of the “coronation” of player and handing them the keys to kingdom out of fear they “may transfer” or making promises to keep them. I’m no longer about the guy that may leave. I’m a fan of those that choose to stay.
So let me be clear -if Russell is clearly the best option as a true freshman, so be it. Start him. But if Ty or Austin offers better chances to win, then they get the nod.
That would not be a bad plan (if there's not much separation in the spring/fall). I like the idea of letting it be decided when the real bullets are being fired.I agree and if it’s a tie, give Ty the first shot but let all 3 play it out and go in to the first game undecided if need be. Yep and I’m curious what FSU will be after spring ball, with Miami finishing as a top 20 class and Florida finishing the year strong. If he doesn’t turn it around he may lose a lot in the spring not to just those in state schools but across the country. It’s crazy how you can’t have one bad year or you may go from a conference champion to the bottom of the barrel in a league because of the portal and NIL.That would not be a bad plan (if there's not much separation in the spring/fall). We begin with @FSU and they'll be hyped for this game. It'll be a tough environment, but it'll show who gets it when the bright lights come on.
Got a lay up in the second game with LaMonroe that should allow some additional time to build on the good that happened at FSU.
Wisky and @UGA awaits and by then we need clarity going forward.
