Agree I believe his family loves it here. plus as thin as we are.The man is an amazing coach. Look what he is doing with the same players. Bama should lock him up for quite a while.

I saw Rojas and Quinnerly practicing Saturday before the game. Rojas looks almost like he is ready to play, but I think the plan is to redshirt him so we'll be stronger next year. I don't remember him having a brace on his knee either. I am assuming we lose Kira to the pro's, but I hope he stays. he needs another year not from a basketball point of view, but he needs to add muscle to his frame. If Petty continues like he has been, I expect he will at least test the waters.Yep. Losing Rojas and Gary to injury has severely hurt our depth and height/rebounding.
I would rather have a coach who can develop the high threes and low four stars into first-rounders than a high-level recruiter. The southeast is ripe with athletic players who just need to be developed. As far as Oats, we need to lock him up once he has proven he can recruit at a high level. He obviously can develop kids, but for us to take the next step, we need studs, not duds. Don't get me wrong, I think he is the answer and I am very impressed so far, but I've been wrong before and I want a bigger sample size before handing him the keys to the kingdom.
Coach Oats is the best hire we have had since Wimp...Even though I did not agree with the hire, he is our coach and I think he should get four years at a minimum. I am not advocating for his dismissal. But how he does on the road is a big indicator. Just disregarding that as not important is basically like giving him a pass.
Guys, this is basketball, not life. It’s easy to be a cheerleader and just go along to get along. I’m giving my honest opinion. What we need at Alabama in basketball is the same thing we needed in football thirteen years ago—elite talent/players and a very good coach. Only time will tell if this guy can get players. And can he develop and coach them up? We will see. But seven losses this shallow into a new season is not good. If he can win 20 games and get us in the tournament then I’ll say he is headed in the right direction.(by the way I think thats a low bar)
Yeah, that looks exactly like the graphic they showed in the Mizzou game (except your post was from prior to that game). There was a point in the latter part of the game where the announcer was showing shot charts. I didn't have the sound on, but am guessing the chart was for Bama, which showed 3s and layups with a handful of mid range 2s. Looked like an NBA shot chart.

JMO, but I think Petty is a better prospect at the next level.Kira is gone to NFL no matter what happens.
Petty is 50/50 but likely gone because of his daughter.
So you want Coach Mark Stoops? jkI would rather have a coach who can develop the high threes and low four stars into first-rounders than a high-level recruiter. The southeast is ripe with athletic players who just need to be developed.
QB or WR at the next level?Kira is gone to NFL no matter what happens.

Really?!? What position?Kira is gone to NFL no matter what happens.

I think several NBA teams have their eyes on him as wellKira is gone to NFL no matter what happens.

Kira has one thing you can't teach and that is speed. NBA is drooling over that even with his other flaws. I think he could use another year also but if he projects in the 1st round he should go.i'd say Petty needs to come back. Leaving now and he'll be a G League/overseas journeyman. Kira has good upside. would benefit by coming back. Good chance of getting drafted if he leaves though
At least, he won't go prematurely because he's disgusted with his present coaching, as has happened in the past...Kira has one thing you can't teach and that is speed. My point exactly. I'm banking on him being able to develop these players into first-rounders.In all seriousness though, CNO already has a track record of doing that at his last stop ... not into first rounders, but at least into competetive teams and a competitive program.
