Also, I believe it could've been similar to our impasse with Aguerro. He wanted a two year extension, and the club only wanted to sign on for one.

It's just real hard to know what Liverpool is going to do, as a bit of an outsider, because I could almost argue that all the club needs is better luck in regards to injuries.
Well, a lot of it WAS the injuries we had last year. Minus those we're giving City a run. But we have to start identifying youth as well. One, because we're aging and two, because of the arms race with City, United and Chelsea. We cannot miss out on young talent and kill ourselves a couple years out. To do that, you have to find someone to sub in w the front 3 (4) or sell one because they're be promised playing time
But you have a point w Gini. It was probably the length of contract as much as the wages.

Speaking of contracts and wages, does Mo get a new deal before the season starts?

Not our M.O. without a windfall. If it were a Salah or Mane replacement, sure. We can find a Gini replacement for Gini money.

How much longer does Liverpool keep Firmino? His production last year was a disappointment - not than anyone had a terrific year. I think they've already kept him a year or two too long.

Bobby does more than just score. Most of the squad had a poor season and we came in third. He'd have to have a poor season for 21-22 before there's some discussion regarding transfer, IMO.
