Ouch!
Don't think he'll be needed for SJSU but he'll be missed. Fortunately we have a stable of great backs. This will give Trent and Lacy some PT.
Get well soon Mark. Roll Tide !

Wow. Hopefully this will be the only major injury of the season.

Wishing Mark a VERY quick recovery! It looks like Trent is going to have to step up! Not that I ever doubted he could/would... :BigA:

Wow that hits like a ton of bricks. I know we have Trent Richardson and Eddie Lacy but still hurts to see Mark go down. I sure hope he can be back for Penn State but want him to be completely healthy before coming back.

Re: Mark Ingram Injured, Will miss SJS game!!

Per Coach Saban:

"This is not an injury that will affect Mark’s future ability to make a full recovery in a relatively short time frame. Everyone involved thought it would be better to take care of now, so he would not have any issues ... later in the season."

That being said, he could very well miss the Penn St. game and from the sounds of it, the best case scenario is that he won't be at 100%. As has been said, we need Trent and Lacy to step up...not only that, we need our passing attack and our defense to kick it up a notch or two as well.

Man - I sure hate this for Mark's sake. Just glad that it wasn't (apparently) worse. In the meantime, I think we're in capable hands with the depth we have. But I'll be glad to get him well, and back on the field. We'll sure need him when we get into the meat of our schedule.

Hang in there guys and gals. This could be alot worse. Time for TR to go win his and for Eddie Lacy/Goode to step it up.

Those guys wanna play - let's see how bad.

I hope he recovers from this quick so he can play against Penn St, however, with Ingram, Richardson, and Lacy Alabama should be set this year at running back and if Ingram misses the Penn St game too I think he will probably set out the Duke game and come back against Arkansas.

I'd really like to know what the arthroscopic procedure was for...
Almost certainly a torn meniscus. I've had three scopes. The first two, I was back playing basket ball in three weeks. The last one, and most serious injury, was this spring. I'm back at about 90%, but my recovery was a lot slower. (I'm sure age has something to do with it also.)
