Seriously, what do folks like this guy, and others expect? Make a video telling an opposing fan base how you're going to whip them, and when the result gets flipped, you want to whine that "they're being mean to me"?

Nor would I miss Tammy, or Legend, or Jim from Tuscaloosa or Charles from Reeltown or Darryl of Georgia, or the Hog Queen from Fayetteville. It's fine to love your team, and throw out some good natured ribbing from time to time. But I cringe every time I hear or see one of these buffoons. Some people thinks it adds "color". I see it as a dumbing down of the fan base.

We've got a group of folks out there willing to make idiots of themselves because they want a few minutes of fame.

I want to watch college football and be entertained by the game, not by clowns like this. If I want to see a sideshow, I'll go to a carnival.

StingRay is one of the good "characters" on the Finebaum show. I love his passion and belief in his team...especially considering what team he's repping. It's genuine and he has fun with it. I hate that some of our fans have hated on him until he called it quits.

I really enjoy the interviews and guests on Finebaum and other sports talk in Birmingham. But when I hear, "The phone lines are open...call us at [number]" I change the channel immediately.

Wish sponsors thought the same way.

From what I read, Stingray is from Tuscaloosa and is a graduate of BAMA. All of that and he somehow fell in love with the cowbells. After last Saturday, I guess BAMA "made his ....." quit too. Krymsonman

I'm sure he loves it when fans pat him on the head and tell him how much they enjoy his "rants". But he's a grown man making videos and sending them to Finebaum so he can have his few minutes of fame. The only thing that would surprise me more would be to find out he wasn't living in his elderly parents basement.

He never thought some might take exception to his "cuteness" and get ugly with him? That is simply naïve at best. The world isn't all about lollipops and puppy dogs. If you weren't willing to deal with the criticism and the trolls, then don't put yourself out there.

Above all, if and when it does happen, don't whine about. Take your lumps and move on.
