My Best Friend Lives in Bridgeport Alabama and his dad gave him the BEST name you could think of " Paul Bryant" you can't get any better than that can you.

Thank-you everybody for the suggestions.

I had to rule out "Bear" and "Bryant" due to reasons stated above.
I had to rule out "Champ" because that was the my childhood dog that lived for 13 years.

I really like (again in no particular order)Tank, Diesel, Mean Gene, Snake, Duece, and Teague.

Man, (remember when coach always said man) I was a little skeptical about my bud calling his dog Gene, but darn if I didn't grow to love that name for a dog. It was like it made him tough, loving and loyal, just like coach.

My son named our dog Forrest after Forrest Gump... We got him about 10 years ago right after the movie... (Forrest played football at UA .... at least in the movie).

This dog likes to run like his namesake....
