Starting Moday the new Jox lineup will be:

The Opening Drive will continue 6-10. The Roundtable will be 10-1. Pawwl will be back 1-5 and Midday Mass will now be Evening Mass. It will be nice to have Paul back and to have a local show until 8 at night.

I can't believe I'm saying it...but I'm sure I'll be listening to Pawwl some too. There used to be a decent sports talk show in Huntsville while Bama was struggling, but with Bama back the Huntsville show is gone.

Finebaum being gone has been pleasant. I'd prefer the Roundtable stay in the afternoon slot.

Interesting that they didn't go 2-6 with Finebaum...that "drive home" 5 to 6 hour seemed like a staple of the show.

I wonder if Finebaum will change somewhat with the now national scope of his show. Some of his "regulars" no longer having a hotline number.

I'm sure I'll run back to Finebaum like an abused lover, but I'm more thankful for a local show at night.

I do wish someone in Birmingham would pick up ESPN radio syndication.

The station that used to be around 100 or so is supposed to be just that. I'm sorry i cannot remember the exact frequency, but ESPN will have a full radio syndicated program here in Birmingham on a station somewhere around that area.

Look at it this way, PF being back on the air means football is just around the corner.

Just don't take him (or his guests) too seriously!

Now that's funny.

We used to speculate on this board about how often media people would troll the site looking for stories. Those that knew said it was very common. I'm sure it was, and still is.

I got a surprise one day reading a Finebum column years ago. It was during the nightmare years when Bama was set up and drug thru the mud by the NCAA, Fulmer & Kramer.

There was an NCAA guy being interviewed on national TV, I forget who it was (maybe Renfroe?) that was pretty high up in the NCAA and he was explained why they were coming down so hard on Bama.

He was being interviewed in Florida, the set where he was had palm trees in the background. I made a post here about that interview, and took a snide shot at the NCAA guy, referencing the palm trees swaying in the background. So imagine my surprise when I read Finebum's account of the interview, which included the shot I took about the palm trees, almost verbatim.

Why did the RT have to give up an hour? I'd rather the OD stop @ 9 & the RT air 9-1. I know that most midday shows air 10-1 but why subject your listeners to 4 hours of AU propaganda & the moron known as Tony Kurre?

Also glad the midday MASS is off the midday. It will be good to have local evening sports talk but their is not very good.

The biggest issue with MASS is that coming in they were replacing what many considered a very good show in the Round Table. Add on to this that they were completely unfamiliar to the local listener and were not knowledgeable of the local sports landscape made a tough hill for them to climb. I think once football season gets fired up they'll do alright.
