Next years starting LBs

Regardless of what we get in the form of incoming recruits, next year Bama will be returning 4 LBs with experience and 4 talented redshirt Freshman. This isn't even including if the coaches move one or some of our larger DBs to LB. And these remaining LBs are a fast group, so I was curious what everybody thought on who would start. I'm for Prince Hall-Middle, Simpson and Jones on the outside.

You don't lose a four-year starter like Roach and a first-team All-American like Ryans and not have growing pains at those positions...but I don't worry as much as others about the LB position next year. Kines has molded quite a number of NFL linebackers, and I'm sure the guys he fields will do just fine.

I was pleasantly suprised when jones stepped in for Simpson in the LSU game
Think he will be very good as a starter next year

Coach Kines will work his magic and we'll be just fine. I'm predicting great things from Eryk Anders.

Who is #55 on the team? I think he is a LB. I know in the LSU game I noticed how fast he was and he seems to be a good player in the making.

That's Terrence Jones, and he could start if we didn't have someone like Demeco Ryans playing in front of him.

That guy was moving at some serious sick speed down the line of scrimmage during the LSU game. The few times he came off the right end (defensive side) on a blitz I was blown away at the closing speed to the ball carrier.

Man, I was impressed.

TJ reminds me a great deal of another #55 at the Capstone. IMO, TJ will remind us even more of DT next season. Just you wait and see......

With Bama's D-line coming back almost intact, it should make our LBs job a little easier to blitz and stop any wide plays, IMO.

Let's not make Derrick Thomas comparisons, but TJ is heck of a player. He had a good game against MTSU when he was forced into action by Roach's elbow injury. Then he tweaked his ankle and was held out for a couple weeks. So it wasn't just a late season improvement. He's steady.
