Over on the rant someone had posted this. Very telling on both interceptions Milroe threw.

Can't get any cleaner than that! I think that's why both of these of so disturbing. No pressure, good sight lines and he still can't see the coverage on both of them.

If both INTs were thrown when he was under duress or the pocket collapsing I don't think there would be as much concern. But this is concerning.

and he never looked anywhere else. complete and total stare down. The cheerleaders knew where he was going.
His receivers bailed him out of at least 2 or 3 other INTs.

They made some spectacular catches. If those balls are not caught or tipped, INTs are happening all over (and this doesn't count the almost INT the defender tipped that was caught for a TD (but overturned for man down field).

I don’t know if Saban was aware that his interceptions were off of 5 and 7 men rushes in which the Offensive line held up.

He did the very same thing vs MTSU in the first game on an out to the sideline. Only reason it wasn’t intercepted was the DB has his back turned.
A couple of plays later he hits a bomb. I remember it well because I said “that should have been intercepted” to my wife. Then when he hit the bomb I said to her “looked terrible on that other pass, then drops a dime. I hope he is more of the latter and not the former if he is the starter this year.”

No vision for the field............Blake Sims at his worst would have eaten Texas alive on those two possessions

I was wondering that as well. SM took over the position from DD last year and was an improvement. And I don’t remember any snap issues like this.
He had problems last year too, though many seem to have forgotten. They weren't as bad as Sat night, but he sometimes had issues. Bryce did a great job with them. To Jalen's credit, with all of his troubles, I thought he handled the bad snaps well for the most part.

Dodd is an idiot. If we want to go down this road, didn't we have Drake Maye signed and on campus at one point? I know he wasn't going to stay and sit behind Bryce, but it isn't like weren't recruiting and letting the cupboard go bare.
No Drake Maye was "committed" but he eventually changed his commitment to stay in NC, but he was never on campus as an enrollee.

Dodd's comment about not having another BY on the bench is obviously correct, but it's also ridiculous because who would have another BY available??? There's not even another school that has a BY starting, much less playing #2.

The real failure is not having 5 star Ty Simpson developed and ready to go.

We have a bunch of 4 and 5 star players being coached by 2* and retread coaches. For some reason or reasons CNS has had a problem hiring top notch assistant coaches over the last few years. CNS has won a lot of championships in the past but he had help from some excellent assistant coaches.

Buchner has been getting 1st team reps this week.
Praise God. I was so hopeful Milroe would click and he would be a great runner and at least a serviceable passer. That combo would work with his skill set, but it just hasn’t happened.

Buchner like Coker has to go show the team and the coaches he’s the guy. I’m pulling for him.

Where ever there's BBQ, Bourbon & Football
Before I get into my response to the pics, I think it is time to give Buchner, Simpson, etc. a shot at the QB position. However, in saying that, I ask this, did this same guy post the pics of the double-digit accounts of the middle of our OL getting beat off the snap and getting penetration in the backfield before the play could even begin to develop?

It just seems that a lot of people will acknowledge the OL had "some" breakdowns, but want to dump the overwhelming majority of the offensive issues on Milroe. Yet, when I re-watched the game I saw the same thing I did in the original broadcast, and that's our OL contributing to much more to the offensive issues than what people want to admit. Again, I think it is time to give Buchner/Simpson/etc. a shot, but simply because Milroe played his way out of the starting role doesn't automatically mean he was the main reason the offense looked awful. The film simply shows otherwise...

Blake was very athletic. He played multiple positions on both sides of the ball and turned out be a good QB. Milroe playing at Sims level and no one is saying a word and Bama is 2 and 0

Other than Smart and Pruit most of CNS's best assistant coaches have been a part of the CNS's retread program for down on their luck coaches. Most notably in this group are Kiffen and Sark.

Certainly wasn’t all on Milroe it was a combination of things. Charlie Potter released a tweet suggesting that the offense was giving away plays by certain stances and lineups before the play even started that Texas knew. That is going to be advantageous to anyone regardless if the o-line protects or Milroe stares down the receivers. Seems it was the perfect storm for what happened.

Matt Wyatt has a good breakdown of what you are saying regarding the O-line.
