No way tcu is better than Bama with a healthy Bryce Young. If the committee's job is to get the best 4 teams, they have to put Alabama over tcu.

I would make Bama a 10.5 point favorite over TCU on a neutral field.

Bama - Mich... I'd pick Bama (I know... Mich. beat OSU... still...)

I'd agree with that. Bama was also favored against UT and LSU. I truly think Bama could beat any team in the country but could also lose to any team in the top ten.

Depends on where it is. Given this year's results, I'd probably take TCU @ home, and maybe a neutral site.
I don’t think there’s any way a 1-loss TCU falls below a 2-loss Alabama, especially when their one loss was in OT in a conference championship game.
If they’d gotten clocked like USCw did, maybe. But given what actually happened, no way.
Plus, even if we somehow snuck in, I think we’d be a material underdog against any of the other three. Any of their lines would dominate us on both sides of the LOS, and we don’t have the coaches to scheme around that.

what if all 4 lose their games…meech losing probably only helps us but lswho muddying the water may be too much chaos
True, but remember that our star quarterback was playing at about 70% at best in both of those games.
The one glimmer of hope is that Alabama was ranked ahead of TCU with 1 loss in the initial rankings. But how much of that is true today remains to be seen.
I think our only shot was TCU getting blown out, but who knows. The committee could say “well Alabama would drive ratings and we are really trying to push the need for a 12 team playoff so maybe we should just cause controversy by picking Alabama”.
Personally I still say we are out and have been out since LSU won the West.
49 points should've been enough to win in Knoxville. With the possible exception of Miss State, we rarely played at a championship level in all 3 phases of the game.
The committee is supposed to pick the BEST 4 teams, NOT the 4 deserving teams. PERIOD.
We gave up more points to Tennessee than we had given up in 115 years.
