So Greg, if they do it your way what incentive is there to schedule a tough OOC opponent? Why not just schedule another cupcake?
I would not call the teams they lost to "decent teams". They were below average teams. You simply cannot put SMU in the playoffs. They played two decent teams and lost. It cannot be allowed.
The message will be “schedule and beat a bunch of weak teams and you’re in”.You simply cannot put SMU in the playoffs. They played two decent teams and lost. It cannot be allowed.
I appreciate your optimism but if they had looked at things objectively to this point SMU wouldn’t have been at #8 going in to this game. We’re out.I still think we make the playoffs. Hopefully, and thankfully, they’ll look at things objectively and not off emotion and make the right decision.
Still, we can’t blame anyone if we don’t make it.
He sounds stupid.Greg Mc would rather just encourage playing really weak schedules. That is better for football. Moron.
What is SMU?Alabama is now +520 to make the CFP at FanDuel.
Greg is terrible at his job, and only has a job like this because of Alabama. But he craps on Alabama all the time.Good grief Greg Mc shut up.
Tells you all you need to know.Alabama is now +520 to make the CFP at FanDuel.
I agree that SMU has played a weak schedule, and the same logic that has Alabama ahead of Miami applies, but I think the CFP committee will vote to not "punish" a conference championship game participant and keep SMU in.Wow you guys are super doom and gloom. I still think we have a better than even chance of getting in. SMU has played nobody. But if we don’t get in, the team has only themselves to blame for 2 absolutely inexcusable losses. Maybe they’ll learn that every game is important and nobody cares about your personal stats.
i don't bet .. what does that meanTells you all you need to know.
That’s not what they said. Rather, they said:…But they will have lied again one way or another.
They said Idle teams won't drop AND that a CG loser won't drop.
They will have mislead people on one of those points.
Alabama is outi don't bet .. what does that mean
Leaving SMU in is the path of least resistanceI agree that SMU has played a weak schedule, and the same logic that has Alabama ahead of Miami applies, but I think the CFP committee will vote to not "punish" a conference championship game participant and keep SMU in.
He’s a Dallas guy too. I’m sure he has wealthy friends “asking” him to lobby for SMU.Greg is terrible at his job, and only has a job like this because of Alabama. But he craps on Alabama all the time.
