All I want for Christmas is for Bob and Pete to be stuffed in some other teams' stockings.

Svoboda- Interesting he landed at North Texas.

He was supposed to be gone last year but couldn't find a job. You would think he would end up at Colorado or at least somewhere in South.

DC Safety Position are open- Charles Kelly is headed to join Sander's staff at Colorado. This is good opportunity for him. He'll do well, especially on recruiting.

But I wanted to point something out. Look who are the top recruiting national:
1. Kelly, 2. Roach, 3. Gillespie. That's in the order. Wiggins is no.9

Wolford: #47 < 5 commits <- We'll find out how good he is once he get his guys together
Golding #59 <- 3 commits <- This is little shocking because Golding was #3 last year
T. Robinson #194 - 4 commits Focused on Safeties/CB
Joe Cox # 208 2 commits

BOB- #276 3 commits
Hutzler #360 2 commits

I may be wrong, but If I recall correctly, anytime we know that someone is gone after the playoff/bowl game, their recruiting role decrease during December unless they were very good at it and willing to help Alabama before they leave.

For sure are gone: Kelly, BOB
Good chance might be gone: Hutzler and Cox.
Iffy chance, but could happen: Golding, Wiggins.

We keep throwing Pruitt’s name around but a serious question is this:
If Golding stays, would/could Pruitt be hired as an off field analyst to help?

Pete Golding needs to put his name in for a high-powered high school coaching job... or a division fcs or div 2 head coach job...It appears he is getting burned out...

Nick Saban is in the twilight of his career... instead of great recruiters and lousy position coaches like we have as of late... he needs to get great position coaches and discipline teachers... Player development needs to be more important now... BAMA Will sell it self with NIL... another selling point will be great player development and Discipline at Alabama which has fallen off in the past few years....Our main Achilles' heel has been poor second and third string player development and penalties...THE NEXT MAN up has never been ready in the big games when people get hurt!

Thinking Yogi Gol*ing would better suit his passive and downward Om meditational mien. Get thee to an ashram, Pistol-less Pete!

The program sell itself. They don't have to work hard to sell the program, NIL, Football, S &C and education.
You have to trust what Saban is doing. It seems like these days everyone on board is telling Saban what he needs to do regarding the development and coaching. This man has been coaching for long time, and it is likely he knows what the issue is and he is correcting it.

Everyone is acting like Bama lost 10 games this season, when we've lost 2 games by 5 points or less. Both games were close and we had chance to win both game.

I don't know if anyone noticed the development of the players this season. They played lot of guys and lot of them improved, so that's a huge benefit for next year. We will have some experience among young guys.

While I"m on the subject of development of the players, Last year, we let go Marrone and got Wolford for this season. He has done tremendous work patching up the issues on OL this season. He's bringing back physicality by recruiting right players, etc.

QB- Saban knows Milroe and Young issue was lack of qb development by BOB... A right QB coach would've developed both guys. Dan Eno would've been perfect for that. WE will find someone who can develop the QBs.

RB- WE're fine there.
WR- Believe it or not, the issues we had with WRs.. that wasn't on Wiggins... That was on BOB and how his offense requires WR to make right route read based on Defense coverage. I think Wiggins has done all he could do with limitations of the offense. He was doing just fine with WRs before BOB came along.

DL- Roach It's iffy DL. Sometime they do well. Sometime they don't do well. not sure if its' coaching, or what.. I want to point out DL was playing well early on before injuries... so I gotta give Roach a pass just for this year.

LB- Say what you want about LB, but I see lot of issues on LB that's not necessary on them. The scheme can be complicated at time and it forces them to think before react. Not sure if Hutzler is the answer.

CB- I think they have done well for the most part, but we had so many PI... and that's based on Saban's phase in and out concepts. this needs to be adjusted slightly.

Safety- I think this is lack of development but again, the modern scheme of playcalling makes it so hard for safeties...

Bottom line, We just need to kinda look at the big pictures for each position groups and understand lot of issues we had is related to scheme on both sides of the ball. Make some small adjustments scheme wise and personnel and we'll be just fine.

Guys, Pruitt wouldn't have a huge impact as an analyst. Where he excels is in game play calls and adjustments. He is almost impossible to predict because he sends players from everywhere to pressure the QB, from every alignment. And analysts cannot be involved in play calls during games.

He might have some limited value in some other capacity, but it would not come close to having him on the sideline

I just hope we can get someone out there who can also do this. There has to be a coach out there who can and would be willing to put in the time with Coach Saban to learn anything he can from him. Think of the resume boost.

Now, that is accurate. But if I remember correctly.. analyst break down game films. See a quote from 2017:

While they are not allowed to recruit or directly coach players on the field, analysts play a vital role at several major college programs. Oftentimes serving as personal scouts, their jobs primarily revolve around providing input on anything from evaluation to scheming and tendencies.

At Alabama, it’s all of the above.

“We have guys that do nothing but break down film,” Alabama head coach Nick Saban said. “We have guys that do nothing but draw plays, and we have guys that make contributions based on their knowledge and experience formulating a game plan. They’re somebody that other guys on the staff certainly respect, so I think that experience is really, really good. And I think it’s a great learning experience for all of us.”
Here's how I look at it. Golding- 1st, 2nd down plays...

Pruitt works on 3rd and 4th down plays... Pruitt gives it to Golding and tell him to "Stick to the play I drew up for you... it will work. "
