Because the run wasn't working?Wonder why the coaches were heck bent to pass starting the second half? Curious play calling but successful.

UT's defensive players weren't just lining up to stop the run by maintaining their positions along the line, they were "all" heading directly towards Richardson when the QB handed it off (or faked the handoff)Wonder why the coaches were heck bent to pass starting the second half? Curious play calling but successful.
Yep, they were lining up 8 men in the box... the difference was in the first half AJ was a little off on his throws and in the second half he nailed themI'm not so sure about the injuries part. I read someone post that Alex Watkins had a sling on his wrist, and I think I read the trainer's lips say 42 Lacy is done.
Because UT had 8-9 in the box and were daring us to throw it.Wonder why the coaches were heck bent to pass starting the second half? Curious play calling but successful.
Ha! Epic fail for a first post; quoted the wrong post...Yep, they were lining up 8 men in the box... the difference was in the first half AJ was a little off on his throws and in the second half he nailed them
Yep - 3 NFL caliber catches.Congrats to Darius Hanks, who had 3 TREMENDOUS catches, all for big gains!
That's ok rookie, regroup and post again....Ha! Epic fail for a first post; quoted the wrong post...
Trent is still in the Heisman race, especially if Wilson doesn't lead Whisky to a comeback win tonight. He'll be fine if he has good games against LSU, AU and the SEC championship game.Great win! A victory over Tennessee, no matter the records, is always sweet! IMO, UT sold out to stop Trent at all costs, and in the process took him out of serious heismann consideration(barring a herculean yardage effort against LSU AND the barn). Right now I think we beat LSU and we SHOULD win the iron bowl.
Enjoy the week off, guys--You've earned it!
Agreed. Ingram had a horrible game against Auburn in 09 which seemingly took him out of the race, but came back with a monster game against Florida to clinch it.Trent is still in the Heisman race, especially if Wilson doesn't lead Whisky to a comeback win tonight. I added that disclaimer, Prof--I said UNLESS he has big games the remainder of the way. But history is not in his favor-- in four games against the barn/LSU, Trent has been far from impressive and they will, like UT was tonight, be focusing on him like a laser beam.Trent is still in the Heisman race, especially if Wilson doesn't lead Whisky to a comeback win tonight. Hear, hear.Agreed. Ingram had a horrible game against Auburn in 09 which seemingly took him out of the race, but came back with a monster game against Florida to clinch it.
...and because Colt McCoy laid an egg in the Big 12 Championship game.Agreed. Ingram had a horrible game against Auburn in 09 which seemingly took him out of the race, but came back with a monster game against Florida to clinch it.
I would love to see TR win the Heisman. However, the team will need to focus to beating LSU Nov 5, which I think they will focus on.Hear, hear.
If TR has a big game Nov. 5th, the awards will take care of themselves.
