OFFICIAL Mal Moore Bashers Apology Thread

Ive heard MM bashing for over 20 yrs,now we can look back and say never listen to know one, except what their accomplishment are, good job mal and university.FOR KEEPING US UP WITH THE TIMES, this is why I have the name ontopp< Bama will always strive to be the best. ROLL TIDE :) :BigA:

I wasnt a basher but i had bad thoughts so i am eating crow too. Mal Moore i love you. What a great job you did to get Coach Saban to come. This is the best day in Bama football since the 92' championship IMHO.

No way. He didn't do a good job. When it comes down to it, we just had a job that Saban wanted and Mal Moore's only way to sell it to him was to give him everything he wanted. Hell, if he could have given CNS stock options in the University he would.

Do you really think he handled the CRR situation well?

Now how was that Mal's fault that Rich changed his mind. Man, sometimes you need to give credit where credit is due, he shut down any leaks that may have been after that..... it was the media that was driving everything and saying that it was signed, sealed, and delivered, Mal was forced to make the offer by one of the BOT's against whom he really wanted (Saban).

After that, nothing else has been said by the Admin regarding the coaching search other than they would let it be known when the deal was done.:biggrin2:

Roll Tide!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:eek2: :eek2: there are those out there who will start the "we are paying him too much" threads against CMM with in the next few hours.

and to them I say, don't blame CMM. blame the University of OKlahoma. Bob Stoops is a good coach, but he hasn't done anything since becoming the highest paid coach in college football.

:eek2: :eek2:

People make the comment that they are "bashed" because of their low post count. Here's a situation where it isn't the post count, but the post content.

Moore was after Saban from day one. It wasn't his choice to offer RR...so, once again, here we have a situation where an opinion of voiced...but, the opinion of so far off base it be an easy pick off.

You are just afraid to eat crow, bet you don't eat broccoli either.

I am not saying that I am unhappy with the result. I think everyone is. But the result should not be the sole determining factor on how well the search went. What would everyone be saying if the answer was no?

I never bashed Mal, but I doubted him privately. I was wrong. Thank you, Mal. Nicely done, my friend. You da' man!

Again, I'm glad that you are happy with the result, so am I. And you and everyone else are entitled to your opinion. I just believe that the end result does not make MM a great athletic director. Who thinks that the contact extension over the summer was a good idea? If you say that it wasn't his choice to offer to CRR, the who was really in control and should get the credit?

I don't think I ever bashed Mal but I did have my concerns with him heading this coaching search. All I can say is Kudos to Mal Moore & Co on this one! I also said in an earlier thread that I'd be absolutely shocked if Saban left Miami for Tuscaloosa. Well, I guess I'd better start the grill. What's the best way to marinate crow?

PS, there will be PLENTY of crow eating going on down here in northwest Florida after this morning!

Sorry Mal, you were smarter than I gave you credit for.

Also Thanks Nick Saban, for making me experience the wonderful flavor of crow. It ain't so bad being wrong considering the result. Welcome to Alabama Football and Roll Tide!!!

I still do not understand why some think CMM has done an awful job. Considering penalties and probation the program has grown and every year it is on more solid footing. The wins will come just look at all the great young talent we have.

Where has CMM not done what he said he would do? He made it very clear how the search would be handled and what the criteria was. I think he met everything laid out.

Congratulations to the Bama Nation and some great positive PR that will go a long way for the University.

The passion of this great Bama Nation is why Alabama is still the elite.

I believe that had MM not really and truly believed that CNS was coming after he showed interest earlier in the season, CMS never would have been fired. I believe that CNS made it clear to MM that he wanted to come here and MM wanted to jump on the opportunity while he had it. Thoughts?

Oh yeah, and way to go MM!!!!!!!

It was built into his contract.
