Maybe it's just me, but CNS seemed kinda unsure of himself throughout the whole interview and Q&A.
I guess we all see different things when we watch video. To me, Coach looks tired. Quite honestly, (and, again, just my opinion) he looks like he’s getting older. And he is. It doesn’t mean he’s not the GOAT, it doesn’t mean that he can’t keep it up for a while. But the years (and the grind of a college head coach’s schedule) have to wear down everybody eventually.
I can't remember who did this, but I seem to remember somewhere where experts would go back and re-rank recruiting classes after they'd been on campus a few years. I'd be reeeaaalllly interested for someone to do that with this team. I can't shake the impression that we have a bunch of recruiting busts on this roster, especially on the OL, and this year, WR. Our starting LT is a Vandy transfer, and there are at least 2 or 3 5-star linemen who have never seen the field.
Oh well I guess i should start betting on games because i saw this crap show coming. Golding has been gifted the best recruits every dang year and under performed. Why would this year be any different. He sucks. his dad sucks and he needs to go. Why has Saban held on to this under performing coach???????????????\

Fire these crappy coaches now. It did wonders for the barn side show. Same players but different coaches . Saban is loyal to coaches to a flaw.
Well sure, there's some of that too. But to me, he had that classic annoyed (albeit more restrained than years past) CNS thing going which I take to mean he still cares. I believe if he were just "over it," I wouldn't be able to detect that sense of hating-to-lose in his voice/demeanor. Your mileage may vary...
it's real simple for the opposing OC. Throw to the receiver who is covered by any of our safeties. Or throw to the TE or RB. no need to worry, they won't be covered at all. We don't practice covering the TE or RB and , by the way, the middle of the field is wide open for any player to sit and catch the ball. All this is seen by the simplest fan watching games for 10years, but notheing is changes or fixed.
I bet if they don't play, people will take that as further evidence Saban has lost it.

The 2020 class was great. Anderson, Bryce, and a whole lot of talented guys that have contributed.
2021? Some big misses, like the Brockerneyers, Camar Wheaton, Agiye Hall, even Jacorrey Brooks. Lotta guys at the top of that class have not contributed.
To be honest, he looked lost and confused as to why what just happened, happened.
BOB doesn't know how to adequately call a college game. He has no feel for it. He calls plays without setting anything up, without playing to the offenses strengths, without exploiting a defenses weakness. How does that happen....they watch film...they study.
Pete....has no clue how to stop an offense with a pulse.
We are soft. We are undisciplined. This team has little to no football IQ or awareness.
How did it get this bad? We are deficient in several areas, but I'd argue it really all stems from BOB and Pete.

I'm not convinced Saban's run is over yet. Next season is the key. Back in 2019 when we failed to make the playoff after losing to LSU we followed it up with a NC the following season. I remember when the 2020 season started few of us thought we could win it with Mac Jones because we thought he wasn't nearly as talented as Tua was. Right now we're thinking nobody we'll have at QB next season will be as good as Young but maybe we'll again have a QB who turns out a lot better than expected.
I think BoB is done after this season. Maybe Saban kept him around because I kept hearing he had a great relationship with Bryce so maybe Saban didn't want to mess with Young's psyche by getting another OC, but Young is on his way to the NFL next season. I really don't know about Golding. If Saban was displeased with him he certainly had the opportunity to get rid of him after the alcohol incident in the off season.

Look, i was ready to fir Shula well before the last season he coached. But during that season I was willing to lose every game from mid season on to the end just so he would be fired. I am not saying i want Saban fired, but I would be willing to lose every game on out if it meant Saban would see the light and fire all the crappy coaches. Defitnitwly the DC and OC, and the DL and DB and WR coaches..
I don't know who the right tackle is, but he let someone run right past him and get to Bryce without even making an attempt to even touch him tonight.
