A little off track because bad calls didn’t do us in. We did ourselves in. However something has to be done about the huge variance we see week in and week out in terms of judgement calls like roughing, holding, pass interference, and targeting. It was even mentioned on a broadcast I was watching earlier today. There is no consistency in theses calls, game to gane and conference to conference.

It is making games unwatchable.

I do not disagree changes need to be made at OC and DC. BOB and Pete both need to go, but at some point the players need to be responsible for themselves. This did not start tonight, it has been all year, missed tackles, missed blocks, not hitting an open WR, and if we do, we drop the ball. We had 9 returning defensive starters this year. This defense should be dominant. Seth, Gibbs, Branch and Ricks, sometimes Hellams plays with real intensity.BY9 is laughing after missing 2 pt conversions.

If anyone watched UGA today, they played like we used to. They really got after it. TN WR even commented how physical UGA was, "much more than bama". Our MO used to be to make the other guy quit and make them not want play us. Nobody is scared of us anymore. I hate to say it but losing Cochran may be hurting more than I thought.

I had hope we would come out after the bye week with a different energy, but I really did not expect it. This is not something you can change mid year. It is so disappointing bc what really had the potential to be one of CNS's most dominant teams is turning out to be his most underachieving.

That is what is the problem. Our beloved coach doesn't seem to care that the team is not playing to the beloved "standard" he preaches. Yet the same crappy coaches are still getting huge paychecks just because they can recruit. Georgia has the same number of great recruits, and just blasted Tenneesee
We can't beat a crappy LSU team. It's coaching people and it starts with the head man.
Yeah. I think you are right. If I were Greg Byrne, I would fire him then and there in the locker room. Not even let Coach return to T-Town. I hope he has Sexton on speed dial and they are making calls right now.

Crazy thought, and I'm not sure how it would work, or if would even be the right move. First, bring back Cochran as DC. Then hire Kiffin back as OC. Have him fix the offense then take over in a couple of years when Saban heads to the lake. Am I getting delirious after tonight's showing?:oops:

The officials should be professional. This is big time football and teams, fans and the college football ecosystem deserves professionals.

this was on their OT touchdown.

To be honest, he looked lost and confused as to why what just happened, happened.
I hate to say it, but I have second guessed his decision making a lot this year. I know that it is easy to do, but something doesn't seem right when everyone can see obvious problems with the team that the coaching staff obviously doesn't.

I definitely didn't get that. He spelled out exactly what happened and why, with multiple examples.
He also said “the sheet” says there’s no difference between being ahead by 4 and being ahead by 5.

Perhaps he needs a new sheet.

Yeah...unsure...but not confident and a little defensive (although I couldn't hear the questions).

I know there's the part about saying "I can't blame the players...it's on me" but earlier he sounded like other PCs when he talked about having to execute better (like it was the players).

I was actually listening to hear if he was angry, and I didn't hear anything to indicate that. That's bothersome IMO.

He didn't sound angry at all...

I think Coach was really trying to win just one more NC to have 7 at Bama besting CPB. I think he thought he had the talent to get there an did last year until the injuries happened. He knew it was on fumes. There is a lot to upgrade, a true rebuilding, in the O, D, S&C, and now NIL. I'm not sure I would want to do it at 71.

My expectation is he will rotate in new staff on the Offense and tweak some stuff in S&C. But leave the defense staff largely intact...

I am in my 50s now. I have many other options to fill my Saturdays with than watching this pathetic team. Slam me if you want. But this team is supposed to be the deepest team with 4 and 5 star talent three deep at every position. IT is supposed to have the best coaches and teams of behind the scenes coaches. yet what i witness in the last two years is on par with Mississippi ST ans Ole MIss.

BY9 is laughing after missing 2 pt conversions.
We could probably spawn a whole separate thread on this, but this is one thing that has always bothered me about Bryce. He very rarely seems to get fired up about anything. More often than not he is laughing and joking, even when things go wrong. Not saying that is necessarily a bad thing, but I think this team could use a leader who gets fired up.

I hate to say it but losing Cochran may be hurting more than I thought.
Y'all do know Cochran hasn't been a strength coach at UGA for years now right?

Florida game with Tejas 3&6. The umpire in the middle of the field couldn’t get out of way if the play….primarily because he looked like he was old enough for social security and carrying about 30 extra pounds around the middle. So he is suppose to keep up with a game played by guys running 4.3 40’s?

I saw that block in back on Moody. And LSU DB holding/tackling receivers. And bear hugd on Will Anderson by the right tackle.

College football officiating is a farce.

I got news for all of the naysayers. nega’s or whatever they call negative types on the boards. Nick isn’t going anywhere, and he isn’t going to tear down the sports science building , hire a muscle head S&C coach, and he isn’t going to blow up the program and start all over . Not at 71. He will make tweaks as needed. If that includes letting a couple of coaches explore other opportunities, so be it.
