Even Pawl Finebum was impressed with the win.
He said,
“They really won that game in a lot of different ways,” Finebaum said. “[Quarterback Jalen] Milroe is a tremendous deep threat but the defense was unbelievable. All I heard from the experts I sit with and you sit with every week was how good the other side of the ball was.

“I was even hearing from head coaches around the SEC that you can’t do it. Nobody can deal with that [Texas A&M] defensive line. It was actually the other way around. I mean in that final drive, Alabama looked like some of the great defenses of old.”

Like that play was ever going to succeed. Milroe on 3rd and 19 rolling to his left, fakes a pitch and throws against his body to the one receiver on the route. Rees offensive genius strikes out again. Otherwise, like Milroe, maybe he's still growing into his new job ,too -
The play was there. Milroe just didn’t throw it soon enough. Thrown earlier, not only might it have been a 1st down, but a TD.

I think the NFL only carries 1 PK and 1 Punter on their active roster, but WR might have just made himself a little more money yesterday showing he could do both if needed. He's going to the league as a PK but man, I was impressed with his ability to step in at punter and us not miss a beat!
This is true, but they all carry both on their practice squad, so they someone that they can promote for the next game after an injury...

He continues to throw high on short balls. Could've had 3-4 more completions if he would stop that.
Milroe has continued to Lack good arm follow-through on the shorter throws, more flipping.; therefore higher trajectory of ball. The longer throws he has to gets more arm into the throw and follow-through.

As I listen to these post weekend game experts talk, the single biggest thing that appears to be coming out of this weekend, is that Jimbo lost the game, not so much that Alabama won. No bump in the polls, no, Alabama is Back.

More or less, “ ho-hum, Bama didn’t impress me”

I believe we will use the “no respect” card to our advantage

In another word, they just gave Saban the motivation he has been looking for: Disrespected

Good.

But any “expert” saying A&M gave the game away is a moron or simply didn’t watch the game.

I really don't want to get into details of what went wrong/right in the game. I don't feel like doing that. I think everyone pretty much covered everything I wanted to say, but I want to highlight three things:

1. Burton- Say what you want about him and his antics yesterday, but in my opinion, He was real good yesterday and he stepped up when the team needed him the most and that's what we look for in a player: Leadership and willingness to do whatever it takes to win on the game. Lot of folks don't like his chirping at TAMU players and fan all game long, but IMO, it's good for the team to develop that dog mentality on offense. Defense already have it. Offense badly needs that since OL doesn't have that dog mentality. I'm actually okay with it. The fumble he had, It wasn't really his fault. It was a good play by TAMU. You can't always get what you want.. so as long he's not hurting the team to where it's costing the game, I really don't care what he does.. as long Saban doesn't have any issues with it.. so be it.. Keep emotions in check. A reminder: Jerry Jeudy, Henry Ruggs, and others.. They do same things. but you just don't always see them...

2. Milroe- It's sad that even though he came through in a clutch for the team yesterday, people still find the time to criticize everything he did wrong instead of just simply saying, "Hey, he did well than I thought, we got to give him the respect he deserves for the will to continue to play hard and continue to fight hard and He has done extremely well. He is getting better each week and it's obvious. So, we just need to kind of back off on Milroe and let him grow on his own. It's like teaching a child how to ride a bike, sometimes you have to back off and let them figure things out and you just need to be supportive and hope for best.

3. OL- the presnap is major concern, becasue it's affecting everyone on the offense. Saban said he's confident they can fix that issues, so we'll see. I think They will be much better going forward. Last few weeks, Snap was high. This week, Snap is low. That mean he's getting better. He will find the right timing with snaps, so be patient.

Enjoy the rides folks. This season is stressful, but fun! Enjoy this. I love the uncertainties of the team, not knowing what will happen each game. This invokes the appreciation we need to have for Alabama and the football program and remind fans that we took it for granted.

Much of today’s game was intermediate passing

It’s been that way for a ~2 1/2 games. Yes, Bama takes and hits more deep shots than most, but the short and intemediate game has been a key part of Alabama’s game of late. 2 of the TDs were 15 and 19 yards - the 15 yarder was a great throw. 6 of Bonds 7 receptions were for a total of 44 yards, Niblack, Prentice and Benson had 12, 5 & 6 yarders.
That is true, we looked some better in the intermediate routes against A&M but we still need more consistency in this area to sustain drives better.

My standard reply to all the crazy Jawga fans around me is …., I don’t say much because I don’t like to eat crow !!!!
Georgia fans are new at this. They have had a couple of good runs but they have always been 'wannbe's more than anything else. They have always written more checks than their b***s could cash.
I generally don't get into the 'SEC..SEC' chant. I couldn't care less about doing that. Been that way since all those other fans cheered at how that bunch of clowns sent Bama to Death row in 2002. I have enjoyed watching some of em crash and burn.

I will say this about Milroe and our offense, I think they took another step forward Saturday. We have to be happy with the improvement we’ve seen. If we can continue to improve in the run game, passes in the middle of the field, and actually utilize Milroe’s legs, our offense could become very potent. If Jalen Hurts can develop into the player he is now and Anthony Richardson can be drafted in the 1st round, there’s no reason for us to believe Milroe can’t have the same type of growth and development. He for sure has the arm strength and athleticism.

On occasion, I like to take a peek at other teams forums. I Almost spit my drink out when one Aggie fan complained that the Refs were one of the reasons they lost !!! Some folks never cease to amaze me !!!!

Great win and Milroe really impressed me with the progress he's made. He just kept slinging it after that interception. I am still mad about that terrible call on the blindside block.

When you have a high price culture the most important thing is forgotten…..work. A&M is riding the we are so talented we can’t lose bus. By the time they realize it isn’t true they have 4 losses.
