I really don't want to get into details of what went wrong/right in the game. I don't feel like doing that. I think everyone pretty much covered everything I wanted to say, but I want to highlight three things:
1. Burton- Say what you want about him and his antics yesterday, but in my opinion, He was real good yesterday and he stepped up when the team needed him the most and that's what we look for in a player: Leadership and willingness to do whatever it takes to win on the game. Lot of folks don't like his chirping at TAMU players and fan all game long, but IMO, it's good for the team to develop that dog mentality on offense. Defense already have it. Offense badly needs that since OL doesn't have that dog mentality. I'm actually okay with it. The fumble he had, It wasn't really his fault. It was a good play by TAMU. You can't always get what you want.. so as long he's not hurting the team to where it's costing the game, I really don't care what he does.. as long Saban doesn't have any issues with it.. so be it.. Keep emotions in check. A reminder: Jerry Jeudy, Henry Ruggs, and others.. They do same things. but you just don't always see them...
2. Milroe- It's sad that even though he came through in a clutch for the team yesterday, people still find the time to criticize everything he did wrong instead of just simply saying, "Hey, he did well than I thought, we got to give him the respect he deserves for the will to continue to play hard and continue to fight hard and He has done extremely well. He is getting better each week and it's obvious. So, we just need to kind of back off on Milroe and let him grow on his own. It's like teaching a child how to ride a bike, sometimes you have to back off and let them figure things out and you just need to be supportive and hope for best.
3. OL- the presnap is major concern, becasue it's affecting everyone on the offense. Saban said he's confident they can fix that issues, so we'll see. I think They will be much better going forward. Last few weeks, Snap was high. This week, Snap is low. That mean he's getting better. He will find the right timing with snaps, so be patient.
Enjoy the rides folks. This season is stressful, but fun! Enjoy this. I love the uncertainties of the team, not knowing what will happen each game. This invokes the appreciation we need to have for Alabama and the football program and remind fans that we took it for granted.
