Jalen played really great, except for two plays. Those two plays were costly, but even so, we should never have been in a position to lose to Vandy in the first place. This defense is worse than the Golding years. How in the world did we beat UGA?

I wish some would quit blaming the ref's, this game probably was lost on two plays , the same numbers on the punt after we made a rare stop on 3rd down, and the forced interception which lead to 13 points, it's a different ballgame if these plays don't happen

We are playing several freshmen because your team bought our best player and the rest of the SEC bought the rest of our depth. At some point some of y’all need to realize this isn’t exactly a deep and experienced defense. Golding was working with some of the most experienced and talented Alabama defenses in history.

Yes Wommack deserves to take heat for the last 6 quarters but all of this “get rid of the DC or get rid of this guy” after 5 games is far too premature. I’ve seen Kirby give up 540 yards to a Defensive back acting as a quarterback in year 8 at home after seeing him the year prior. Hell the ULM and MSU games in 2007 are two of the most horribly coached games in the last 20 years I’ve seen at Alabama, and Saban and Kirby were on staff. Guess both should have been fired

The Georgia game has took us from realistic preseason expectations to national championship expectations. Did I think Vandy was a losable game? No but I expected 2-3 losses against teams not named Georgia.

It’s year 1, a young team, and a new staff. You can’t bail 5 games in. Otherwise this whole regime could be a failure after year 1. Look at Auburn.

We looked like a 8-4 type PAC12 team that has a good offense and plays no defense.

The defense gave up like 20 3rd down conversions. Milroe isn’t to blame.

Roll Tide anyway! Glad we moved away from Tennessee. Defense struggled quite a bit today and the offense just didn't have any margin for error. We will see how they respond next week.

We werenʻt amazing on offense, but thereʻs no doubt IMO this is on the defense. What was their 3rd down conversion rate? It had to be around 75%.

If he can lose to anyone, he needs to go. Let's see. Coaching lost this game, pure and simple, but I put it more on the DC than the HC.

I think one of the solutions to the problem, is reinstalling the Saban defense (finding someone who can). It gave you a recipe on that side of the ball that basically guaranteed if you could sustain a certain level of success on offense, you'd get the win. You didn't have to do anything too fancy, and against a team like Vanderbilt you could just grind them into dust.

Part of my discontent with the whole situation was the loss of the Saban's system (which won 10 national championships). I saw no upside to losing it, and getting someone who can reinstall it is probably the best move going forward. But, DeBoer's identify as a coach needs to be in sync with that sort of thing. He's a west coast guy, who is used to playing a certain brand of football. It's not a protect the lead, run the ball sort of game. It's a I'm going to outsmart you sort of game and in DeBoer's defense he often does.

He hasn't had to try to consistently outsmart SEC coaches though and neither have his coordinators. It's safer to avoid the chess match and just knock the other guy out if you're capable.

Milroe was stunned at the end of the game, as we're many other players. They simply could not believe that Alabama had lost the game. Well, that is exactly why this team lost the game.

Time to grow up. Figure it out. You are not good enough to win just because you show up in Crimson jerseys. You have to earn it. Believe that, get back to work, stop thinking that you have arrived, or there will be more losses.
