At the end of the 1st half, Mac spiked the ball with :01 left but the refs signaled the end of the half. Kirby sent his team to the tunnel to try conning the refs into confirming the end of the half. Replay confirmed Mac spiked it in time, Reichard crushed a 50+ yd FG, and then the Wrath of Saban and the Tide descended upon Kirby and his minions in the 2d half.....

I've been really hard on the defense, and I think deservedly so. It's been well below Alabama standards. I'm still worried about what a Trevor Lawrence might do to them.

Having said that, I was extremely happy to see the second half adjustments from the defense. That was part of what I felt was missing, a lot of times Alabama's defense wasn't making those tweaks and second half improvements they needed to make. Here's hoping they've turned the corner and Roll Tide!

Totally agree. DL was getting mauled in the first half. Whatever adjustments they made worked well. I know they threw some of the young DL in the game in the second half and it seemed to pay off.
