Yep, everybody is fired up in the beginning. 222 yards in the 2nd quarter is not tackling well.
We go seven months of the year without football. Itʻs October, itʻs Tennessee; youʻre darn right some of us are looking forward to that game.
I am looking forward to a lot of games this year, but not that one.
DeBoer said he will fully install his offense next season, which probably means passing a lot and thus less emphasis on running the ball. Of course if our OL can't learn to pass block better maybe he'll have to modify it.

Toxic positivity is exactly right. And yes, this team is being gaslit in a major way. All last year, all I heard was "put Georgia and Bama on the field right now and Bama runs them out of the stadium after 1 quarter". I heard that mess even after the loss to Texas and the ugly wins against South Florida and Arkansas. Even when we finally played Georgia, we didn't run them out of the stadium by any means. I remember Tennessee needing overtime to beat Troy in 2012 and Dooley was absolutely giddy. I saw that same giddiness in Deboer today after surviving against a very SUBPAR South Carolina

I just mean some people try to actively squash legitimate concerns posters are trying to discuss.
They use hyperbole to the point of absurdity in trying shame people into not discussing things that may be seen in a negative way.
Some posters are overly negative and take things too far.
But a lot of the negativity is based on valid concerns and imo is not people just being eeyores.
I enjoy reading people’s views both positive and negative and get frustrated with ‘Sunshine pumpers’ trying to silence ‘eeyores’ with sarcastic mocking.
It’s like a peer pressure type of thing trying to force others to fall in line.
You're correct about this season. I was responding to the speculation that our RB's might transfer next season because of not getting enough carries.
I'm not looking forward to a game in Knoxville with Heupels offense vs Wommacks defense. That's a huge mismatch of scheme.
The staff is clearly going to have to get better at game prep. I saw too many things USCe copied from Vandy that still worked a week later. Milroe and the offense got punched in the mouth, rocked a bit, but ultimately settled in and made the necessary plays.

They were showing highlights of our game against USCe at halftime of a game on another network. I think it was Fox. And they showed us picking off the last pass and they commented about how Bama "kept their playoff hopes alive". If that's not gaslighting, I don't know what is
My opinion is we are not as strong and conditioned as other teams. We are losing on both lines if scrimmage. There is no quick fix for this problem. We are not a championship team. Defensive scheme is poorly suited to the SEC. It is fine at USA but not Bama.
