Bama Game Thread: Official PostGame Thread - Bama vs. UTe...

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

I feel ashamed finding faults in 37-20 win over Tennessee, but there were some moments last night that drove me crazy. First, the stubbornness with some of the between tackles runs is frustrating on crucial downs. Second, I don’t understand what Domani Jackson is doing sometimes. It’s not that he isn’t in position to make a play or is getting burned by receivers, he just makes boneheaded decisions when it’s time to make a play on the ball or receiver.

With that said, Pierre has emerged as a force on the edge, and we collapse on the ball quicker and quicker each week.

I think it was on one of their longish runs where we had a linebacker and a defensive back run to the same spot allowing the RB to easily cut in behind them for extra yards
Their TD in the 3rd quarter after we went 3 & out was completely ridiculous. We let that kid juke 6 players out of their socks and everyone was wildly out of position. Never should have been a score.

In the last 4 games against ranked teams, Bama averaged 29.5 points per game on offense, and gave up 19.75 points average on defense.

I think we are capable of more on offense, especially when we get the running game straight. But DeBoer is clearly playing a ball control game. Frankly it has a lot in common with the classic joyless murderball of the early CNS era.

Notre Dame really sticks out like a sore thumb. No ranked wins. Two ranked losses. They should not be ahead of the one loss teams directly behind them.
True, but the committee will likely keep them at 12. But, if they remain at #12, South Florida, as the American champs, will bump them out of the playoffs. ND would need an at-large bid. If SOS is considered, I don't see them getting in.

An ND fan friend of mine was telling me yesterday that maybe the ACC is the best conference, especially since they pasted Arkansas and multiple SEC teams were going down to the wire with them…😂

I hope you’re right.

Well, all the SEC teams are struggling with Arky after their coaching change. ND caught them at just the right point in time.

Bama to #4

We have 3 Top 15 Wins and 4 Top 20 Wins

In the AP it’s 2 Top 10 Wins

Is that a Good resume?
Undefeated must count a lot. Because Texas A&M has only played 1 ranked team...Notre Dame. Yet Bama has beat 4 ranked teams, but sit behind Texas A&M. They have LSU, Mizzou, and Texas left.

Yeah but it’s the same song and dance for us.

Not just a bad loss but a horrific one.

FSU is 3-4 now and 0-4 in the ACC.

They won’t and can’t and shouldn’t jump us over any of the Top 3 who are undefeated in P4 Conferences.

But it’s truly irrelevant.

We just have to finish 11-1 or 10-2 and it will all work out.

We’d probably even make it as a 10-3 SECCG Runner Up.

9-3 with no SEC CG appearance is the only thing that could keep us out.

Was it my imagination, or did it seems like the Tennessee band was loud and playing right up until Alabama snapped the ball? Didn't sound like an away band (way louder). Is it because they were put in a place different than other visiting bands?
they were. i heard a few times where they were just playing a sustained note up til the last sec
