Wait, I just realized who to blame the loss on. It is Earle's fault. He was late starting the pre-game thread. All the players and coaches heard about it and did not know what to do.
For crying out loud...this was happening last year too and we are still making these Jr. High mistakes.
I think that's the problem. At one point we were so much better it didn't matter, but now that the portal is equalizing everything and other schools have hired CNS's assistants and have caught up, we can't do that and get away with it.Our execution needs to be good enough on offense that we can tell the defense what we're doing and still have a successful play. I want our offense to become a Randy Johnson slider. He could tell you he's throwing a slider, but good luck still hitting it. Preferably, we don't need to be telling the defense what we're doing pre-snap with our running back and QB alignments.
I dunno how we have eleventy-billion 'analysts' and no one is catching this stuff. For crying out loud...this was happening last year too and we are still making these Jr. High mistakes.
Was it Clemson that had stolen our signs and that's how they knew where every play was going and could beat us to the spot???
Do we not have a "quality control" person???
This is true at home, in the business world, and in sports - anywhere people are organized: When the basic stuff trips you up on an ongoing basis, it's because the person at the very top of the org chart isn't being held accountable.I dunno how we have eleventy-billion 'analysts' and no one is catching this stuff.
It's infuriating. This isn't even about having a MATQ attitude, this is basic stuff...
