They had him change positions. And that's why I feel like he has a big game vs us. We have LT problems and they also have a bye like we do this game
Yeah, he is playing Sam instead of Will. But you would think at Sam, you would get more sack opportunities. I thought he lined up at Sam last year against us, but I guess not . The article I read after the FSU game mentioned that He drops in coverage more. Again, I would think Will would drop in coverage more. Maybe they have that wrong, IDK.

If you follow Alabama Nation on Facebook they have a video demonstrating why fans don’t get on the field at Bryant Denny. It’s fairly convincing.

He takes sacks and kills the rushing yards, where’s the team at in that category?

Hurts threw the ball away, that’s one reason he was never that high in efficiency.
Actually, he didn't in his freshman year. He did a lot of running OOB ten yards behind the LOS. They worked with him a lot on it and he got better. Also hurting him was inability to throw to the left side of the field, so defenses just loaded up the right side of the field. Coach Saban was live on NFL Countdown this AM. He was asked about Hurts transfer. He said that Hurts came to him before his senior year and told him he was considering a transfer. Saban told him that he could, with his blessings. However, he told Jalen it would be better for his career to stay and work on his passing. Hurts took that advice and we all know the story from there. Players who follow his advice almost always come out ahead...

Most long game advice is typically the best advice.

Foliwing that advice is what makes Hurts the exception, and not the rule when it comes to mobile quarterbacks improving their passing.

Speaking of Jalen and his passing improvement, Enos might be a quarterback whisperer, but as an offensive coordinator he is beyond terrible. He and Pittman may be looking for jobs soon.

Ok , I’ll play. If the Oline held up better at times, his decision making would get easier, and he wouldn’t have to take as many sacks. Don’t make me a Milroe apologist, but you have to admit he is improving, and playing well.

The LSU game will be interesting because it's a different animal than any team we have played this year.

Their secondary is terrible but the QB and Nabers at WR are playing extremely well. It seems unreasonable to expect our defense to hold them for 4 quarters. Going to need the good version of Milroe all game and to limit Perkins. I have this weird feeling Perkins is going to have a career game vs us.
It’s also a Brian Kelly team, so…😉

He’s improving, but inconsistent, I said as much.

Like it or not, he makes everyone around him better, or worse, depending on his play. Nobody complains about the line when he does what average quarterbacks do: step up in the pocket, process the play, and make a throw. If there was a camera view that would show the open receivers he misses on plays he takes sacks people would feel differently about this.

I just wanted to say how much of a tool Heupel is. It’s the end of the game with like 30sec left, his QB takes a sack, he is down 2 TDs, but he just kept trying to score a moral victory TD at the end. Just take your loss like a man and end the game. Then he goes out complaining about the refs losing them the game, after his defense is out there giving our guys forearm shivers after they are tackled and on the ground.

I’ve always enjoyed our Tenn rivalry even if it hasn’t been super competitive over the last 15 years. But I am going to enjoy beating them even more with that smarmy loser on their sidelines.

Jeez, now you made me an apologist. you can’t accept an accolade about our young QB without trying to take him down a notch. Accept who he is and move on. The team is 7-1 with him at QB. they are in the thick of the SEC west race. While he makes mistakes and does not give me the warm and fuzzies, he does make big plays at times. Yes, I realize he actually not only takes sacks, but actually runs himself into them. I am fully aware. However , he is 6th in the nation in pass efficiency and that number would be better if the Oline was more consistent. Period.

If they'd called every US call on them, they would have lost more...
